Quote: *1865* "The fact frep agrees with you makes my argument more than I could ever do.

The kids not being made a 13, he IS a 13, and a damn good one at that. Once he matures physically and increases his stamina he will be a very good player.'"

I don't doubt he will be a very good player but at present he's wasting away in the 19s and not developing at the rate he probably needs to at this stage of his career. Add on the fact he's at a club in freefall surrounded by coaches with next to zero SL experience and the head coach not a fecking clue he'd be better off elsewhere career wise. If he stays. good for him and good for us, we need anyone decent for the future...but as a 13, are you saying that Westerman is leaving next year or is going to be play in the 2nd row to accommodate him?

What we need more than anything else is a half that isn't either a crock, overpaid aussie who can't cut the mustard or a 34 year at the end of his career and whilst Pryce has performed better than I expected we should be aiming to get someone for the long term. As it happens the kids you mention are way off, a LONG way off.

But if you're happy that we are developing him into a backrower, fine, that is your OPINION and that indeed of the club, have you thought just for a split second you and your bedfellows might be wrong..no, you couldn't possibly think that, nor can you just accept that people have opinions different to yours without feeling the need to be abusive and derogatory...you show an utter lack of any class whatsoever..Im sure your mother must love you icon_cool.gif

Keep Radford in some capacity if Pearson think he has a role to play, but bring in an experienced coach with attacking ideas.

If Pearson wants English, I'd look at Mark Aston, has done a really good job consistently with Sheffield on a low budget. Could do a similar job to Powell.

I know people still don't like/rate him, but McNamara would be the first name on my shortlist. He's come a long way since the Bradford days and has spent the last two years learning at one of the great rugby league clubs. The national team is also in the best state it has been for probably over a decade. Not to mention he's a Hull lad which personally I don't care about but it allows Pearson to save face with his "Club Hull" rubbish.

He's head and shoulders a better option than Brian Smith and whilst the likes of Aston could turn out to be great they are also be a big gamble.

The other one Id like is Tony Smith, but I don't see him walking out on Warrington to come here. He would need to be sacked first for him to consider us.

I do worry about our fans, seems to be a campaign on twitter to get Bobby Goulding to come and help us out, since when was a failed coach become our saviour.

How often do you watch the 19's to be able to make this assumption? Because myself and many others see him progressing rather well.

Quote: knockersbumpMKII "Add on the fact he's at a club in freefall surrounded by coaches with next to zero SL experience and the head coach not a fecking clue he'd be better off elsewhere career wise.'"

Maybe so, but I'm pretty sure he would like to win the 19's this year, he'll probably do that here.

Quote: knockersbumpMKII "but as a 13, are you saying that Westerman is leaving next year or is going to be play in the 2nd row to accommodate him?'"

Why would either of those things need to happen? Competition for places can only be a good thing, surely?

Quote: knockersbumpMKII "What we need more than anything else is a half that isn't either a crock, overpaid aussie who can't cut the mustard or a 34 year at the end of his career and whilst Pryce has performed better than I expected we should be aiming to get someone for the long term.'"

Not sure I get your point here, Sneyd's 25 and signed a 4 year deal, is that not long term? And you've said yourself Pryce has been performing well and there's no indication we're looking to sign anyone in that position any time soon with the likes of HTW & Reece Dean coming through
Quote: knockersbumpMKII "As it happens the kids you mention are way off, a LONG way off.'"

Again, do you even go to the 19's? They're the same age as Abdull! He is a little in front of them, but they're not a LONG way off and I'd expect one of them to take over from Pryce.

Anyway , so who's in charge if Radford and Last go? Steve Crooks? It'll be like groundhog day , he took over from Walsh part way through 1999 and has a 5 from 30 win record. Who else do we have to use as a caretaker? Ellis , Pryce? It just shows the dearth of coaching experience and talent at the club and underlines why we're as poor and unprofessional as we are.

Think McNamara would be just as bad as Radford.
Games against NZ since he took over played 4 won 1 Against Aus Played 5 lost 5. Not exactly setting the world alight especially when he has some decent players at his disposal.

Because clearly a massive influence in style and composition of game play is had when a head coach of a national team gets a week here and there and then a couple of weeks before each tournament, look at NZ and Oz both of whom get sooooo much more time with their guys before tournies..

At the end of the day Steve Mac may not be the answer and frankly i am unsure who would be right now but to compare Domestic football with international is just daft ...

i would also say there is an argument to say Steve Mac could also be too close to our senior players and so the door revolves again ..
We are viewed as the graveyard of coaches so no one will take that hot seat unless payed a wedge.... why would they>

and No smith is not the answer, he may be experienced but way past his sell by date now IMO alone mind...

I am really disappointed in Pearson I thought he would be better than this and have respect for the fans. He dosent seem to be bothered anymore. If he was as passionate as what he says he would be sorting this team and coaching staff out now.

He is a businessman, he hurts when his pockets squeeze.....
He has no love for the club but he knows a sleeping giant when he sees one... i hope he can see the issues and is already sounding people out
He is savvy enough to know he needs advice...

where is bomber now lol
