Nonsense. Wigan did not have 'loads of kids' and we were not at full strength. We're quite bad enough without making stuff up.

Most disappointing thing is if we were even average with ball in hand we'd have 4, probably 6 more points than we currently have

Yup. No pace, no guile, no strike power, no support play...

Depressing.

Correct. Sneyd was poor overall tonight but him and Pryce are a decent combo at this level. We created no platform tonight for them, were too conservative and one-out virtually all game. Offloads and runners absent.

The worst Wigan team since before Noble - and their fans know it. No driving support from that silent majority!

We should and could have won. We weren't good. Clueless with ball in hand, flapping when a chance was there - the failure to spot and take advantage of Charnley's indisposition was schoolboy-error criminality.

The lack of a relentless pack to drive us up the middle was paramount, but the desperation fuelling our last gasp tackles in defence saved us. All a bit cobbled, but the defence was good tonight. Encouraging.

But sheer brainlessness cost us. Poor chases, lacklustre play-the-balls and the ridiculous lethargy when(not) forming the scrum with five minutes to go. And crowd's screaming frustration at Watts' last second brain-fart in chucking it the wrong way was mirrored by Pryce in his disgust as he stalked towards the tunnel. Not that we should be relying on the last play. Obviously.

Pryce had a good game, by the way. As did Ellis and Rankin (can someone please start shagging him to encourage him to stay? Ta.) And thanks too to Lancaster, good game from him. But the comradarie seems to have gone again. Niggles at the end and all. The crux of the matter?

that was two crap teams
Radford enthused by the defence but surely he must realise we are the most boring team in Super League.
If he wants some tips
Kicking crap
No back up of any runner
Create nothing ball in hand
which is exactly the same as last season

The scoreline may have been close but lets not forget a poor Wigan side bombed four tries

Great summary Wormy. Missed Paea's legdrive tonight. Pryce is really solid IMO but no platform or runners. Body language of players I agree wasn't what it should be. Can't oblige on Rankin, we want him to stay.

Still think we should persevere with Rankin off the bench to replace Houghton.
Together with Shaul they are the only ones capable of Backing up runners down the middle and the pace to beat a defence.
That said until we start to dominate in the pack we are going backwards fast just like last season

Pryce is second behind Paea in player rankings so far IMO. Top quality player. As for Sneyd someone needs to tell him to relax a bit and stop trying too hard. He can kick better than he has been and despite all of the claims that he's 'laid back' he needs to focus on doing the basics well. That said our pack is not strong enough to regularly dominate.

Wigan are crap at the moment and yes possibly worst team since noble era. Hull could and perhaps should have won. We played about the same last week but came up against a Cas team that could play. It was good to play another crap team so that we had a chance of winning.
