Well said, sir. Well said indeed.

I've never understood the logic of starving an organisation of the funding it needs to succeed in the belief that it will somehow lead to success. It's far more likely to lead to further failure, decline, and eventual extinction.
When it's some anonymous supplier of goods and/or services with multiple alternatives you could make a case that it won't really matter. If that company goes out of business there's always somewhere else to go. The same is not true for sports clubs.

See Bradford for details. If people can quote examples of falling customer numbers and income streams resulting in market-leading performance, I think it would be worth discussing on here.

There's lots of classic business case examples which show a failing product being replaced due to popular demand. The most famous of which being the new coke saga in the (70s or 80s I always forget which) - it was so successful people still swear it was the plan all along to have a couple of months of dire sales for the long term effects...

| I just read this thread from the beginning not realising to begin with when it was first started. I did not realise as all the posts about the coach not having a clue about his best team, best half backs etc seemed as relevant today as when they were first posted (except for the odd comment about Tuson obviously). I think that just shows how little has changed, how little Radford has learned during the course of the season. He has got to go. Good coaches improve players but I cannot see a single example of that in our current squad; Good players have gone backwards.

"Disgusting people"?
I will continue to support my club, much as it pains me at present. I'll buy a season ticket when they go on sale and buy a new shirt amongst other things. Does that make me "disgusting"?

well against the nearest 4 teams to us at the bottom we have won 4 drawn 1 and lost 3, so we can't even compete that well against these, never mind the rest of the league

Good point. I guess the differences in RL are customer base (inherently limited), lack of direct competition (although competing alternative leisure spend opportunities) and challenges in product quality control (results generation in sport having more variables than manufacturing of carbonated beverages). Probably the acid test would be if the number of "disgusting people" dropped to 3k, would AP change strategy or just put the club in administration?

no, it makes you misguided, support anything, and it disgusts me that mediocrity is celebrated but it's the English way, "never mind, maybe next time"

Is Hodgson the new Griffin, or is it all about pace?: |

At least I have the satisfaction of knowing that you won't be sat near me at matches for the foreseeable future.

The thing is, if Coke went under you could always drink Pepsi.

| I think Standee may have put it a bit too strongly but I see the principle he is making.
I also found Staffs FC's post very patronising for criticising those who have simply had enough.
I have been a supporter and pass holder for many years(Agars last season apart).
So with renewed optimism and a belief in Radford I renewed my pass again.
Now this season has proved this opportunity has come too early for Radford and he is floundering in my opinion. Lowes being a good example of this.
Too many players for me have regressed.
The constant tinkering of the team.
The fact instead of helping and developing young players like Crooks and even Miller he hangs them out to dry and sends them out on dual registration, almost into the forgotten wilderness.
The same old boring and inept tactics week in week out.
And when he's interviewed on RH he is so predictable and boring like our team and sounds like a broken record.
So for me I will not blindly buy a pass for next season unless Radford is replaced.
I would like to see enthusiasm and effort from our team win lose or draw and that for me would keep me happy.
But to be constantly bored, fed up and cheesed of every game are feelings and actions I will choose not to pay for next season.
No I am no glory supporter but someone who has simply had enough of how poorly our club is being coached and will not have my passion and following for the club taken for granted and be fleeced any longer.

Read it again. He didn't criticise anyone.
