indeed the bulk was cod, and we flogged it to those daft enough to eat it, and kept the Haddock for ourselves, I cannot stand cod to this day, horrible wet slimy fish compared to Haddock

standee,cod was the cheaper of the two and haddock does taste nicer,but it was dearer.i think you will find every chippie in hull sold cod in them days.i worked on fish market,and we sent cod all over england.as a barra lad,i had two earlies to load onto the train twice a wek.one to wales and one to shrewsbury.
