Some of you need to get a grip no side has a divine right to be a top side and need to work to be so.Its early doors with a few new faces and 3 regular players out in Watts,Tickle and Ellis so need to be patient and if then at the end of the season nothing has changed you will have a good right to be up in arms.

Our last tackle plays were abysmal last night. We had plenty of good field position and didn't really look like scoring more than the one try. Makes me wonder if we have actually done much ball work up to now

According to some we're a poor side without the players to do anything.
Apply some logic, and common sense and it's not that bad. We were away at the world n super league champions, who were imo as good as teams get on an opening night. Few players didn't play well uncharacteristically, lost our marque signing beforehand and have a full attacking unit ie our 1,6,7,9 and 13 getting used to each other.
Saints are 1of the favourites. Working on hull fan mentality how would we be reacting if we were as bad as saints tonight! Be a jump in suicide rates I think. Ha

Yes we All know its first game of season long way to go yet etc..;
Gentle has not helped with our bigger stronger faster talk. Players talking to the media hyping their game up.. then we go out and compete for 60 mins !! it should not be acceptable to the Club or the Fans.

Madness really! Cannot understand how people forget the lessons of the past. Leeds got tonked a few times over the last couple of yrs and struggled for massive periods of the season s and ended champions. Wigan got well beat in the 1st game last year n then lead the league for 2thirds of the yr. N last year our over hyped friendly result had the doom n glom merchants out in force and then we were good for a long period of the season until injuries hurt us. We have the makings of a good team, and we will be. Said for a long time it'll be Easter gone before we're at our best, just need to be smarter to have a chance of wins while finding our best form. Suddenly on last night's game our pack is weak? Utter Tripe! Lynch 1of the best warhorse style props in the league, ogre a player opposition forwards hate playing. Potentially have the best hooking interchange in the league. Danny will not likely be as bad ever again. Westy on his day can be great. Green looks like a potential star. And we were missing Ellis-obvious, watts-our biggest physically and best offloader. Tickle-Mr consistent grafter and points machine.

I am in agreement with you & I am not bothered whether St. Helens or any other club play well or badly, my concern is for Hull. I like many others want them to improve & allowing for some changes in personnel in the close season etc., I did not see any improvement from them @ Leeds. |
