| Just rang the club and it's definitely £10 per pass, even if they're coming from the same account. Blatant profiteering, in my eyes. It was touch and go whether getting a pass would have been beneficial for me as I'll definitely miss a few game, but this has decided it for me. I refuse to pay an extra £30 on top.

But but but this is 10 pounds in one year, I want the old board back , they listened to the fans and would never rip them off like this. I'm considering burning everything fc related I own and cancelling sky on the back of this daylight robbery.

| Although it doesn't IMO especially undermine your argument Mrs B, the East reserved price is listed as £235 earlier in the thread, which'd be a (whopping ) £20 increase over that period.

The i suggest you get FC Voices to deal with your gripes.

| why are people suprised at the £10 extra for direct debit?
if you bought one on a credit card and paid it off over 5 months you'd paid around £10 in interest.
surely people realise its more benificial for the club if we all pay in full straight away so by giving us an option to spread the the paymenst over 5 months they add a small charge

The £10 is supposedly to cover bank charges. I find it hard to believe that the bank is charging the club £10 to set up a direct debit, and impossible to believe that they're charging them £40 to set up one direct debit for four passes.

Agree
i have no prob with 10.00 but for mine (adult and 2 kids) id be paying 30.00 yet im sure it will be one DD from my account.
The pass forms even give you a table to work out your total, add 10 then didvide by 5, so why cant this be done for multiple pass purchase?
For whats its worht will prob get the kids with cash, but leave it till the last minute now

Correct. 1.8% compound inflation rate over that period isn't it?

Its a bit daft calling it bank charges, in effect its interest. I don't have a problem with it, the club have to wait to get the full amount of money so why shouldn't they charge interest. If you don't want to pay it use a credit card, I think its only a £2.50 fee for that, you just may end up paying more interest depending how long it takes you to pay it off! If I paid my car insurance by DD they add interest for this.
I just wish they had brought back the voucher exchange scheme, I might miss the odd match so its good to know you will still get full value for your pass. In their defence I had a look at the time they removed it and only a very few clubs had this so we can't feel to aggrieved.

as steve norton has mentioned its interest not just a set up charge.
I think its fair to pass this on to the customer

The club don't get charged interest on money going into their bank account. Nor do I expect to be charged interest for paying for something in instalments that I don't receive until AFTER the final payment has been made.

It the same with car insurance the RG, if you pay up front (for something that covers the whole future year) then you pay interest even though you could argue that you are getting the coverage monthly.
The club want the money earlier this year, probably because they have transfer/release payments to make, if the DD scheme was exactly the same price as paying up front, most people would do it and they would end up not getting it all till December.
I'm not an expert but perhaps they can't call it interest because of credit licencing regulations or something like that.

It's not the same as car insurance. When you insure your car, you are given a price to insure it for the year. If you choose to pay over 12 months, the insurance company loans you the cost of the annual premium and charges you interest on that loan. Cover starts immediately, not after the full payment has been received.
In the case of the season passes, the club aren't making any such loan. You receive your pass when, and only when, full payment has been made. I do not expect to be charged interest on such a transaction.
