Quote: frepneyboy "They should not be a sample.

They should have a mandate from the fans, simple as. They should be going to the club with " X % want friday Y % want Sat and Z % want Sunday after our research"'"

A Mori poll of as little as 500 people is often used to express the views of a nation (Parliamentary Elections, etc). If FC have conducted there own poll at the 9's and elsewhere then they are probably getting a fair representation of the fans feelings. Even this Poll (117 votes so far) is clearly showing that Fridays are preferred.

End of the day AP has to increase attendances, if they stagnate next season then he may try a mix of Fri / Sun

They need to reduce away ticket prices now. I really don't believe £25 is a fair price when the South is £19.

I'm not sure that cutting prices for away fans will greatly increase the number of away fans. The fans of some clubs just don't travel in great numbers and in these difficult times people are going to watch their team at home rather than away. Hull and Rovers are the exception.

It will cost us some revenue though and the bad publicity of course.

On the HDM website, at the bottom of the article about McGoldrick

Quote: "HULL have also announced they will revert to playing their home games on a Friday night for the start of the 2013 season.'"

I meant for next season.

I know what you're saying, but I think it definatley puts people off. £25 is steep, I appreciate we have the best stadium in the league but it's a lot of money IMO.

Quote: carl_spackler "Not really. How would those that can't make it on a Sunday and want Fridays have voted?

The club are never going to please everyone, it's simply not possible. What I don't understand is why people have trouble believing the club when they say that they have been led to believe there is a preference either way. People only ever seem to see this issue from their own perspective, and think that anyone who doesn't share that view is wrong.'"

Fair point. So send an email to all season ticket holders and also advertise the survey on the webite should people want to register. That would be the fairest way.

Not trying to make a big deal out of it but had the previous regime done what the club have just done they would have got slaughtered.

I can still make Friday's it just makes life more difficult.

It is expensive but I don't believe a cut in prices will bring in a lot more away supporters.

As you say it is one of the best grounds in the league so why should away supporters only pay say £20 when we pay about that much to go to dumps like The Jungle, Odsal and Belle Vue?

Quote: Standee "so how can they offer a family ticket for £50 at the Salford game?'"

We had 1 game a year discounted under the old administration.

As for the saflord ticket, how will that work with the SMC agreement?

2 Adults at £24 each, 2 kids tickets at £1 each, whats the face value of a kids ticket? £10? We have to pay 50% of the tickets face value to SMC so, we'll loose out.

Its been long known and discussed in great detail here that we have all the money form the first X tickets and the rest is 50%. (X as the figure changes all the time, depending who talks about it, I think its 100,000 in total (approx))

The agreement has not changed, AP said he was looking to get it re done. But we have had nowt since. Maybe he realised the SMC wont be moved.
