Good news all around IMO. Someone on here said Last wanted to be head of youth so seems rather than being demoted (from U20s to 18s) he's moved to where he wants and also I'd suggest his role now is more important that before. Rommel will be happy.

Pretty happy with this, provided the club stays away from all suggestions that he is being 'groomed for the top job' etc. Hopefully if we get another assistant it will be Gentle's own man.
Disappointed that Last is staying on though.

I think it must have been very frustrating for Last, the past couple of years, he has worked hard getting 4/5 players ready for SL but our head coach seem to not want to give the players a chance, instead moving players about or playing rubbish like Lauaki every week no matter how bad they was.
And even if he gave a player like Lyne a game he would drop him the next week no matter how he played. |
