| He's got a good track record, was at Leeds when they went into financial meltdown, went to city and sold them to bartlett and co, off to derby did a couple of years and sold them then back to city and had to turn to Allam due to city being in financial meltdown. Not yet left a club in a better position than when he took over.
With Allams sudden found fondness for KR after previously not being interested in RL and now Pearsons interest in FC after again previously not being interested in RL it certainly makes for interesting times.

So a 10.00 press conference becomes a 10.06 appearance of a story on the FC website?

10:01 statement, club has been sold, AP to be interviewed on Humberside, that is the latest I have been told, I guess we wait and see.

He was hardly responsible for the Leeds meltdown. That lies firmly at the door of Ridsdale and O'Leary.
Selling City to another buyer is hardly bad business and look what happened when he did.
The Derby thing is no big deal and he cam back to City after years of Duffen mismanagement and did what he needed to do to sort things out.
I don't know the guy, but I think you're being a bit too negative there old fella.

A statement you cannot back up in any way shape or form. The club was effectively out of business at the point of merger. Sure some incentives were put in place and obviously the cash allowed it to happen but the right decisions still had to be made. Since then the off the field operations have been second to none and whilst not 'doffing my cap' I can see the positive things they have done for my club and unlike yourself I don't mind the fact that they haven't lost any money doing it and I don't find it difficult to offer praise when some things have been done well.
Anyway it's not really about that BOD now so it seems.

Where have I said I begrudge them not losing money, I applaud them for it, where do I say they have not done some things well, they have indeed, but they have failed miserably in the single most important thing for any sporting team, on the field success.

I'm sorry but are you for real? When he joined Hull City they were in Division 3, when he left they were in the Premiership.. how is ithat not in a better position? Also, when he joined Derby they were in Administration, they haven't been in one since.
With that said... I'm extremely sceptical over the deal and I hope it doesn't happen. As Paul said, better the devil you know than the devil you don't. I aren't 'worried' about Allams connection, I'm absolutely 'scared stiff'. Adam Pearson, the man who has 'never been interested in Rugby', joins with the Allams at Hull City, the man who is 'saving the city' and has made numerous comments about how adamant he is to own the KC. I'm guessing, in theory, whoever owns Hull FC gets their say in the SMC and as such could take them over, terminate the contract, then leave?

| They're saying on Humberside that Pearson could be making an appearance on on Burnsy's morning show after 9am.
May get some clarification then.

Maybe I am but he seems to leave a trail mismanagement behind him, the biggest worry I have is the link between Allam and Pearson and the coincidence that they ahve both got involved in RL at exactly the same time after both saying they weren't interested at all.
The idea that this is a way for him to distance himself from Allam makes no sense whatsoever, his team will still play in the KC which is controlled by Allam.

2 CC Finals, (one of them a win) and a grand final. It's more success than most clubs boards have produced. Agar is a bad appointment, no doubt about that, but could the club afford (in reputation terms) to sack a coach after just a year AGAIN after Kear/Sharp?

I must have missed the sales of the KC by the Council, when did that happen?

That's my worry too tbh.

Is it? Not the SMC?

Does the SMC not control the KC? And Allam controls the SMC?

Negative spin from a rovers fans what a surprise. I have mixed feeling about this, one thing I am sure about is that Pearson is not a pawn of the Allams.
