IIRC no ref could ref the town they was from, not just the team they support.

No wonder we have a reputation for blaming refs when it is actually true we blame a ref when we should never have been in the position for the ref to influence the game.'"
I'm just glad you weren't reffing we'd have lost by 50.
Ganson called it as he saw it at the end - he got it wrong IMO but there you go. Great game between two good sides especially with it being the third in a short space of time. We are scoring some outstanding tries this season and we need to maintain and improve our intensity into the second half of the season to improve on last year's finishing position.

| Quote: Dave Lister "Whiting grounded it at first instance. Imagine if he was trying to score a try - it would have been given.
I thought there was a strange decision in the first half, I think it involved Whiting once more - if you catch the ball while stood on the touchline, isn't the ball out of play? He certainally didn't carry it onto the line.'"
Yes, but only on the full. As it bounced, it was a live ball and Whiting took it into touch by standing on the line when gathering, so Saints H&F was correct.
O'Meley? was moaning about Ganson being in his way too, but he was out the scrum far too quick for a prop, so can't really say owt.

| I think no matter who you support we can all agree on the fact being able to reff your hometown team is a bad call from the rfl and needs to be fixed.

We used those self same injuries as an excuse for not competing in 2008/2009 and to a point in 2010. Yet when Saints have those injuries it is a different kettle of fish.'"
9internationals or ex on display, yes weak team.

| i think the washbrook decision was wrong, never took his eye off the ball. shame for hull, but they couldn't get any decent possession in the second half.all credit to saints to come from 18 down.its been mentioned about long and phelps missing, but i think radford will improve the side when back. think hull when they do learn to catch the ball and not let it bounce need to return the ball at pace, kick returns seem to be very slow.
all in all disapointed that hull didn't get the 2 points today, think ganson was wrong to award the penalty at the end. but 5 points from 6 over the easter period is a great return considering who we have played.

Silly O'Meley. Fancy getting his ar$e in gear and not expecting to be obstructed by Saints 14th man. That'll "learn" him...

IIRC again it was changed because the rfl deemed Ganson to be by far and away the best ref but because SH were reaching so many finals he missed out reffing the major games, hence they thought(wrongly i think)he was honest enough to ref SH but the trouble is when you get a bad call, questions rightly get asked.

| I have no real problem with Ganson today other than the last penalty, he got it wrong and it cost us. That said we got some calls last week apparently at Wire and this week we never, swings and roundabouts I guess.

| I was hoping you would do us a favour and beat this mediocre Saints team and keep us top but your flops fell short.
Although a draw keeps Wire at the summit looking down at all the inferior clubs.

Did you watch the game on the box or are you the rather large person in the Bulls shirt who was getting very exited with the Saints supporters??

The only positive we can take from today is that we did not lose.'"
a bigger positive was you not being there
