If Phelps is not and Horne is not fit then Whiting to FB and Turner to 6, leave Obst to come on from the bench.

I would be happy with that lineup Paul but you know as well as I do that Westerman won't play 13 unless Fitz gets an injury.

Do you not think penciling in Horne is disruptive? He's been a fantastic servant for the club but looking in from outside I know he isnt going to play 3/4 games straight before injury strikes again.
Is it maybe time to say thanks and move on?

Better tell the club this, and it now seems pointless to try and get him fit if he will get injured after a few games.

Spot on. As I said earlier Rich Horne's body is physically incapable of withstanding the rigours of SL and there's 3 or 4 years worth of evidence to prove it.

I always hear 'oh Horney was showing glimpses of the old magic until he got unlucky with xyz injury' but it doesn't mean anything. You could put Swain or Jason Smith out there and they'd show the odd glimpse of what they used to be able to do, it doesn't for a second mean they are physically up to it anymore.

Obviously Horne would be a fool to walk out on the remaining year of his contract but he should never have been given it in the first place. If he was an Aussie import rather than a local lad he'd get far less patience and sympathy from the fans.

That said we're stuck with him for this year at least so there's no harm in hoping he defies the odds and manages to stay injury free.

You mean like in 2009 when he played 25 out of 28 games?
