| Quote: super_fc "Jack Briscoe shouldnt be anywhere near the 17 for friday. We are playing away from home, on sky television, against a team with one of the best tactical kickers in super league, and people are seriously suggesting that we should throw in a 17/18 year old who has no super experience whatsoever? Get real people. And as for us having 'nothing to lose' well how about the kids confidence for a start? Its hardly the time or place for us to be considering giving someone a debut who has not yet competed at this level, nor would it be fair on him. I would put Berrigan there when we are defending, and bring him into the halves in attack (like Wigan do with Tomkins), hardly ideal but he's probably the best man for the job imo.'"
I disagree, its precisely the time. Hall has gone. Leave him out, give the lad a go. As long as he gives effort, he'll get most Hull fans support. I honestly don't think he can do wrong, even by making a few howlers. We need to blood em at some point, why not now?

Agree. He should at least get a spot on the bench and be given a few minutes.

I have to agree with this. Hall seemed reluctant to put his body on the line when he was playing for a new contract. If he knows he's not getting one, I don't imagine things will improve in this regard. Whether Briscoe is ready or not is another matter. I haven't seen him play, so I can't really comment.

I would rather Hall stay at home but agree Turner should go to FB. However we all know that hall will be FB. Lets hope he proves me wrong and has a blinder.

He went on to play for Great Britain and is I believe out top scorer in SL.
Now it's Jack Briscoe's turn to step into the spotlight.
Any other 'solution' just weakens out already depleted half back and centre options.'"
Im with you lets go with Jack his pedigree says he aint no bottler and his head wont drop.

| The wolves are not resting anyone for this they obviously want second place so who ever is at fullback can expect the Briers special.

| Has Turner ever played FB in his life? People keep saying Briers will destroy J.Briscoe at FB but then champion playing Turner there instead. Weird.

The Rugby Football League are in the process of reviewing the video that you are referring to. We do not condone behaviour of this nature and have contacted the player’s employer, Hull F.C., who have confirmed that they are dealing with the incident under their club rules.

It's like the Manu to centre idea, then he plays there and it's obvious why he plays in 'the pack.

| For me if JB is good enough then he is old enough. I would rather have JB in at FB than move a player who has rarely/never played the FB role.
We will never see our younger players grow and progress if we dont show faith in them and let them have a crack at SL at the earliest opportunity. Would Horne or Cooke have got this far if they hadnt been given the chance at such young ages??
It is always a fine line when bringing players through but handled correctly it shouldnt pose a problem for his progression.

| The one thing I would say is I don't know if JB is good enough or mentally ready for SL and neither do most of the fans on here but the coaching staff do so I trust them to make the right call.

| Hall - can't catch , no confidence , gone anyway
Jack B - Inexperienced
Turner - Suspect under high balls and one on one tackling in the open not brilliant
So what about Washy? No flare or creativity at SO but generally solid and dependable. Turner to SO , it's what he thinks he is, Tom to centre , it's what I think he is, and Jack on the wing ...or Hall. Not a good solution but then none of the options are. Just a thought.

Lets not forget Tansey isn't exactly great in that position also.
