Quote: Mrs Barista "I really don't understand why people are bitching about the fans forum. The club don't have to do it. Cost is absolutely minimal, so they don't make any money out of it. The club have made the effort to get Cummings in to provide a different aspect to it. Other clubs don't do 4 forums a year. If you think they're so poor, don't go/listen to it, but why make sneering comments about it when it's taken time and effort to put together? Just don't participate.'"

Oh silly silly Stu. He obviously left his diary on the bedside table before briefing Ganson prior to the Wakey match.

Quote: The Dentist Wilf "I'll be asking Cummings what exactly is the play the ball rule and why on Fiday Night did both teams shovel the ball through their lewgs often with no movement of the foot at all whilst on Saturdsay sometimes this was penalised sometimes it was'nt!'"

And on the disallowed Yeaman "try" why did the video referee a) not penalise Wakey for offside - the whole defensive line clearly never retired and this was blatant when checking where Yeaman was &/or b) If (a) is ignored why not disallow the try for the clearly incorrect play the ball by Tansey rather than the more difficult to judge and obscure offence of Yeaman being in front of the play the ball?

Because they make it up as they go along!

The majority of RL fans say that video refs are great when in discussion about video analysis in football. Yet the only thing the video system does is highlight the fact that our refs know very little about the rules of our game!

People moan when they do Forums they moan when they don't do them, simple thing is really People Moan (particularly on here).

The fact is whether folks like it or not you can ring a dIrector every week, send stuff in on a rant line, and attend a face to face meeting with the coach and administrators 4 times a year. Name another club that does that much to facilitate moaners.

Most other clubs offers half of that and yet most folks on here who moan have not used any of these mediums to complain. Yes, complain about the club the coach, the administration, the fact we still have no flags this season, in fact whatever you like, because thats your right as a fan, but don't bitch about the best facilties there are in the League to do it! Its just biching for bitchings sake!

Not for much longer, I renewed my pass for this season against better judgement hoping our new signings would help reinstate the kind of entertaining rugby I enjoy watching. Obviously this hasn't happened and it's becoming an effort to actually bother to go to the KC, so this season will be my last.

You are totally right we have seen worse than this, however i feel the big big difference now is that in previous bad times we had nothing in place to suggest that anything but bad times were inevitable. As a result of this we as fans accepted the bad times and knew good times would return and the old faithful in any kind of weather stayed true

Now the total difference is everything off the pitch is in place ie. stadium, merchandising, marketing, communications and record sponsorship deals. However we choose a cheap option in the coaching department, our recruitment and retention of players is questionable at times and due to financial restraints etc. peoples loyalty to the club is not as prominent and commitment can be questioned more.

How many times have we been excited by the rugby seen at the KC in the last 2-3 seasons? Barring the Saints game at home this season, i am struggling to think of another game. We all pay enough to be entertained yet our delightful board do not appear to see it this way and we feel we our commitment to the team we all love (and will still support once this shower have long gone) is being taken for granted

I've seen worse too. Maybe the fact I'm bored now and have had enough isn't all down to just the way we play but also it's the way the game has developed as a whole into a far less entertaining spectacle. I rarely bother even watching the Sky games now when only a couple of years ago I wouldn't miss either game.

Hate to against the grain but I think we have played some decent rugby at times to be fair we have scored some decent tries , I know the biggest problem is doing it on a consistent basis and trying to do some decent stuff without longy because then when it seems to break down

I think there are some really valid points on here. I have supported the club through thick and thin, but that loyalty is now in serious question. Not just the state of the playing rosta but the game as a whole. I can't think of a single team that I would pay to watch at this moment in time.
Just a few years ago I would switch on Sky or turn up at the KC to watch Leeds, Bradford, Saints and expect to be royally entertained. What we see now is a sterile game in which teams play to a ridged game plan and the ones who execute it best win the game.
Its negative and boring. Add into the mix a referee who are told to focus on certain rules at different times (Such as Ganson on Saturday ). Then we have the desire to have a level playing field with salary caps etc and we have imo a game in decline. Ok I don't want Wigan winning everything all the time, but in that perdiod in the 80s / 90s the game was followed far and wide and spoken about due to a great Wigan team. Speak to any one who doesn't follow the game and they know about Wigan but couldn't tell you who the top team is now.
As for moaning about the forum some people just need to get out more and realise that this is one area that the club are getting it right. I just wish they were as good at organising on field activity.
