Not convinced. Hall looks better at centre IMO, and I'm not convinced Briscoe has the game to make tries for others enough. May be better to make Briscoe an outright winger now. |

Briscoe has the quality to make tries from what ive seen of him in the 20s. Would make an awesome centre imo once he's developed a little bit. I'm starting to wonder whether in a couple of years we may see:

Me too. I just think we may need to find Jack Briscoe a place in the side in a couple of years and we have no successor to Long unless we bring an Aussie in. May be an option. |

Still expect Hall to be dropped next week though, with Briscoe back and Turner having a belter of a game i just cannot see how he will make the starting line up next week.

Can't say I've seen it TBH, not creatively, just brute force. And there's a huge difference in quality to base that judgement on. Hall's strong defensively in the 20s, and Tommy Lee was a world beater. When I see him make a few tries in the first team I might start to think differently.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to do the kid down. It's just that so far at SL league level he's shown only that his strength lies in finishing, and not providing.

i highly doubt that we can produce a half back for 2012 so one will have to be signed. |

Have to agree with Carl here, not seen anything to suggest that Briscoe would be any different to Yeamo in the centres.

Read a play really well early on and did a very good 1 on 1 tackle and grew in confidence from that....took his trys well,ran the ball out well,defended well and also...he had long outside him as well and he talked to him a lot during the game.

Yes, he definately has the ability to pass a ball and quickly as he did on a couple of occasions tonight. Another who needs to work on his positioning but hopefully that will improve with time.

Is it just me that thought that apart from the first ten minutes or so he was pretty poor? Occaisional good move, but naff overall? Kept flying out of the line when there was no need, and making nothing out of it, too.

Thought he took his tries well but still doesn't convince me and does silly stuff like just throwing the ball away , his tackling isn't a problem its his positional sense and still needs a lot of work |
