| Quote: PAUL M "He never dragged him. The ball carrying arm never touched to the floor and Yeaman had both arms around him and was not dragging. It was an awful decision and they scored off the next set. He also failed to spot an obstruction for the try that gave them the lead and he also harsly penalised Moa when we had the ball which allowed them to level. He also missed 2/3 headshots and in general had a poor game imo.'"
Take a look at it when it comes onto HULLFCTV. Yeaman goes into touch before the ball carrier (Yeaman is behind, not infront of the man with the ball). This is classed as dragging
Just being devils advocate, but Ganson also missed the very forward pass for Manu's try. Swings and roundabouts.
Was Ganson to blame for Morley being about to walk though our defensive line on half way without a hand being layed on him?

Yeaman was not draggin though he was tackling and the momentum had not stopped, he actually flipped him as they got near to touch. Tansey got dragged into touch the other week and nothing was done. The ref's are getting it wrong and it needs clearing up, we are simply penalising good defence.
You are right he did, they still got most of the decisions though.
Game was over once they went 22-16 up, the last try was irrelevant.

The way i saw it Yeamo was dragging/pulling rather than pushing which is fine.

Also should Wire's 2nd try have stood? Couldn't see it from the East stand but the South West corner went mental
Well I was in the south west corner and neither me or my friends went mental as we all clearly saw Hicks ground the ball legitimatly before he was bundled out of play. Nothing wrong with it.
As for the Yeaman incident again he clearly dragged the player into touch which is no longer allowed.

Qn, if you were in the South East corner how can you comment on Yeamans tackle?
And people I know who were sat in the West Stand said the Wire player had taken the corner flag out.

Well there wrong he didn't touch the corner flag, the Hull tacklers did, he grounded the ball easily, that's why the try was awarded.
How can I comment on Yeamans tackle because I could see him stood on the touchline side of the player and saw him drag him into touch.

All "in your opinion" which is the problem with the rule about taking a player into touch, other people saw it differently. (wasn't attacking your opinion, just using it as evidence of the confusion)

That's fair enough.
I can understand how someone in the West stand might have viewed the Hicks try differently as they may have seen it slightly from behind, but we were right above it in the corner and he grounded the ball. It was a great piece of finishing IMO.

tbf my issue is mainly the Yeaman thing, rules that are "open to interpretation" then it's wrong, certainly on something as fundamental as what constitues top drawer defence.

Saw the Hicks try on Sky last night and you are right it was a great finish.

My only doubt at the time (from the West Stand ) was whether there had been any contact with the touch line. He grounded it exceptionally well in such a small space

| What was the penalty count on Monday? I asked this on a separate thread but either no one knows or cares or I typed in invisible text! I could only remember one for us after about 60 minutes or so. If that was the case then Warrington clearly have improved on their average of 8 up to round 6 according to the fairplay index which funnily enough is the same as our average. I'm sure we missed some , it couldn't be just one , could it?

Inconsistent though as some refs give it and others dont. Ganson technically was right by the letter of the law.'"
Stated clearly on Boots N All that the tackle was completed and that's why the penalty was awared for dragging into touch after held had been called

| I was at the game as a neutral and the first half was the worst refereeing I have ever seen. Ganson was dire with the amount of forward passes/ knock ons he missed. You could see that the Hull players had become so demoralised by it that the tries by Warrington in the 2nd half were inevitable. Warrington had the same rub of the green against Castleford early on in the season IIRC.
