As a public forum not everyone can get the future right.
Standee has already admitted he was wrong about rich has had alot of posters, I instead of trying to score cheap points why not congratulate rich and his superb form?

hes not only surprised me but delighted me.

I'd keep him in the 3/4's this year then, if we can recruit well in the off season, get him in the gym and move him to the back row.

I'd even give him a lenght of a contract he wants.

Quote: Staffs FC "Exactly Dave. Lots of incidents are brought before the disciplinary without being put on report at all. Having said that if Silverwood applied the law then fair enough. It was such a cowardly challenge it probably even disgusted him - he was near it. The only surprise was we didn't lose the ball on halfway on the first tackle after the penalty and they scored from it.'"

The only difference is that if it goes on report then the video review panel have to look at it. If not, it's at their discretion. Personally I'm not convinced that this slight difference is worth worrying about, especially in a situation like yesterday when the side who have been infringed against have gained a clear advantage.

He's played every game so far and we've only just started picking up injuries in the past couple of games.

It's not about predicting the future, it's about being able to see the qualities a player has. Whiting has always been a very good player - it's just taken some longer than others to realise it.

Has always been the wifes favourite player which she pointed out to his late Grandfather when we met him at the train station on the way to the CC final in Cardiff. Seems a daft thing to say but he is one of the most valuable players in our squad. He offers so much utility value in a variety of positions that he just has to be in the team somehow. I still find it difficult to decide just what his best position is though as he is competant in so many roles. To top it all off he is a great pro and great bloke to go with it. I think I'm welling up icon_surprised.gifops:

To an extent it doesn't matter [iwhere[/i he plays, as long as he's on the pitch. Personally, I'd like to see him at 13 with Fitz moving up to the front row in place of Radford.

And, as I said earlier, everyone was fit at the start of the season and he was selected, on form, in the centre.

I agree with offering him a long-term contract but only on the proviso that he invests in some proper rugby boots and dumps the divers' boots, he currently wears, in the bin

Quote: Big Dave T "Calderwood was injured right at the start of the season and Whiting was picked in the centres with Hall moving to the wing. HTH.
There have been games where he has been selected even though everyone was fit. He has been preferred to 'future international' Craig Hall in most games. He is not in the side just because of injuries, he's there on merit. Do you reckon if he's still playing as well when Calderwood is back he'll lose his place?

Also, pre-season there were people saying Turner was ahead of him for centre and Whiting would only get a look in if he was injured. Look at the thread Wolfie linked to - you might even be one of them...
