TBH i dont mind him but he/they pulled the trigger quicker with 2 previous coaches and Agar justifies being sacked more than 1 of them did....this is his biggest downfall.

Out of the 3 coaches since Bomber left...Sharp was the unlukiest to get the boot and was the ONLY coach to have the dressing room and respect of the players and he was a damn sight better talker than Agar....his humour was spot on.'"

I liked PS and I always thought that he was an amusing guy. Probably a better coach than Agar but his recruitment and retention was absolutely pi$$ poor !!!

I have many times Sharp was unlucky, agree he made some errors and at times we played some e.....but i had faith in the guy, faith that despite the the stuff he had to deal with he would have us up there or thereabouts in the league....Agar on the other hand........

Agree on both counts but how much was he backed by the board?????

2010s recruitment has been the best we have seen for a few seasons so looks as though they are backing Agar to the hilt.

They have to ,hoping Agar can turn it around next season to save themselves from ridicule for selecting a "cheap option" as coach.

No. He appears Teflon coated and will be here next season. He survived with three wins from sixteen games and one home win in five months.

That's a good point, maybe if we lost every game his personal pride would mean that he did the decent thing and walked. I could handle losing to Rovers tomorrow if it meant this would happen, the season's dead anyway.

Quote: thehullwhitestar "You can think what you want but you are totally wrong !!!

Briscoe - He'd already pushed him out of the squad and made it quite clear that he didn't rate him before the contract talks, big big mistake.

Maiava - Only a clown could possibly watch him play then give him a deal like we did. Poor doesn't sum it up.

Cusack - Absolutely the opposite of what we needed at the time in our pack. Panic/poor signing and a waste of a quota spot.

Dykes - A player who everyone on both sides of the world knew was finished and couldn't even pull his shorts up without needing time on the treatment table. Total pi$$ take signing.

Sing - Probably the most disappointing "high profile" signing that we have ever made. An old man with zero pace and a two year pension plan from Hull. Big waste of money and quota spot.

McMenemy - one of the best all-round second rowers we've had in the SL era and that clown showed him the door almost within minutes of sitting at his desk. Nothing to do with his shoulder. The clown made it quite clear to him that he didn't rate him and that he had no future at Hull. McMenemy fought all year for a contract which was typical of the total professional that he was, then got unlucky with his shoulder.

Brough - Also shown the door in no time whatsoever. I don't think that he was the answer at SH but he was shipped out and never replaced, unless you count an old past-it Aussie who was made of biscuit.

You can smooth over the facts all you like and, like you just have in part, make it up as you go along, but that guy took us so far backwards in such a short space of time that it was an achievement in itself !! He took a very good squad which needed a little tweak here and there and he totally fooked it up !!! He was the wrong man in the wrong place at the wrong time and we are still paying for his brief but very damaging tenure.'"
