I agree only a small % read this board but a lot larger % can see with their eyes, I dont think we will need a protest as I believe we will get one from the silent majority on Friday.

I repect the views of the "In any kind of weather" fans even though at this moment I dont agree with them.

I say let market forces take the lead and I am confident we will see a reduced turn out on Friday.

Lets not forget we all support Hull FC the club. The board, the coach and the players are only temperory.

I don't get how KR fans can come on here and say "any kind of weather " trying to imitate that there supporters are much better.

They must have missed it when there team was down in the dauldrums a few years back.

Threads like this are a waste of time. The 200 or so fans on here can't even agree let alone the thousands that go to the game.

True unless they is a large % of fans who agree a protest in my view would pretty much be pointless even if its something I would do myself personally.

Can I borrow your pass then icon_biggrin.gif

I remember the 'Sharks' era.....Man....was we bad then? A lot of you are forgetting that we don't have a god given right to win, we do have to out-play the opposition and every team will tell you....the gaps between the opposition are not as wide as ten years ago. WE......are the teams extra man.....WE need to keep behind them.....Its what we do, WE are Hull! This is just a big dip on the FC Big Dipper! icon_wink.gif

Going or not going Friday night is everyone choice for any reason, but if you don't go because the teams playing badly and you want every one on this messages board to know thats your reason, just remember that next time we are involved in a cup final { yes those days will return } and picking silver ware and you post your messages about how great it was and how you were there that day Hull FC won , then just stop for a moment and remember the days when you couldn't bring yourself to give the team your support.

When Hull FC are winning league games and cups, I wear my Black and white shirt with great pride, but also when things are going wrong , I still wear that shirt with the same pride { Even more pride some times} especially when people who know no better come up to you and say what you wearing that sh*t for or knock our team because we got beat again, thats what a supporter all about, being there for the good times and the bad.

I don't think people are planning not to go just because the team are playing badly. It's more of a protest at the current coaching set up and direction the club are taking. Sometimes you've got to be cruel to be kind. If a short term withdrawal of support etc causes a change for the better then hopefully we can all enjoy those cup finals sooner rather than later. Personally, I've got a pass and will be going. I've decided not to spend any additional money on merchandise until something changes.

Quote: jordanp "People are missing the point, many think that because there is no threat of relegation the club have cut various corners especially with the decision to appoint and persisting with Agar/Sharp and player recruitment to save a lot of money, while knowing that regardless of how poor the team is they will not lose out on any revenue becuase they will still be in SL and becuase of phrases like "In any kind of weather" the suppoters will still hand over there money in the form of season tickets, paying in at the gate and mechandise regardless.

The curent board have never been popular, and have had to take a lot of abuse and bile from Hull fans at times (often not warrented in my opinion) and the types of protest you mentioned would send out a message but I dont think it would have an impact becuase they would know that the fans will still turn up reagrdless of how unhappy they are, and I dont think they are really bothered about being popular with the supporters, like it or not the only thing that would make them take notice in my opinion is to stay away.'"

not having relegation has been bad for this club

can you imagine the money they'd have thrown at us last season if we were still 2nd bottom! they would have done a Wigan and gone and bought someone.

I'm a fan of franchising in general, but its not helping sort our club out.

This is going over a lot of peoples heads, nobody is saying that we have a god given right to win, and yes we all remember how bad things were in 99, people are not turning there backs on the club becuase we are losing or playing badly, when its been mentioned it has been as a protest at the way the club has been run and major decisions that have not been thought through properly or just the cheap options just taken, our poor form is a result of this.

Im a season ticket holder, but Im considering staying away on Friday, although I went on saturday and will be making the trip to wire, its not just a case of the team are playing badly so we will stay away.
