i know berrigan was signed as a hooker but through his career hes also played centre, stand off, scrum half and loose man

same with tony at hull hes played full back, wing, centre, hooker and probably has played stand off at some point maybe even loose man

Sorry wasnt having a go at you. Simply saying to sign Berro on such a contract and then not feel he can play 80 mins as Agar clearly doesnt means either its apoor signing - or a poor coach!

i agree with the berrigan comment, hes our big name signing and he should play the full 80 all the time when available, otherwise its a complete waste

if it is down to fitness im dreading what he will be like in the 2011 season

im thinking that its blatantly obviuos that thorman is not the answer to our problems....and neither is fitzgibbon...we seem to panic buy when we dont get the players we need....did we need berrigan? do we need fitzgibbon? the answer in my opinion is no...we need to build a team..and unfortuantly at fc we sign individuals. dont get me wrong there great players but they arent what we need at the moment to take us further.......our team looks like a rudder-less ship with no guidence whatsoever, a shambles in many peoples eyes and i agree that our recruitmant policy is a little short of appauling at times...
i ask what will happen if we fail to land either orford or finch!!?? thorman will get another year thats for sure, can you beleive...but thats fc at the moment, a laughing stock, one of which shoots itself in the foot on more tahn one occasion a season........if thorman gets a new deal, the my pass will not be renewed in a hurry..

I disagree with the Berrigan comment. At the time of Swain retiring, yes we needed Berrigan - has he been as influential as Swain. sadly not. However to me the signing of Dykes was key. Finally a coach in Sharp recognised we needed a top scrum half, unfortunately he was made of bolsar wood. The failing was then to replace him wit quality. Its the most integral part of a team. Fitzgibbon to me is just a 'appease the fans as Crocker aint coming signing' - and a poor one at that.

at the time i dont think we needed a hooker, we had wayne godwin and danny houghton, a scrum half was what we needed, we was after monaghan but was priced out by wire, so we went for berrigan so we had a name coming in

mcrae also said we needed a scrum half when he was here, we went after thorman who wasnt a bad player back then, danny orr we was after aswell

but it isnt a coincidence that when we had matty head and adam dykes playing we were a different side

sorry but that is absolute boll0x! Thorman like the men who brought him here , Agar and Sharp ( Crooks , Last et al ) is a proved failure. It's Thorman , OK not single handedly , who is draining our forwards of energy with his absolutely inept kicking. Worse still is that there are no saving graces. It's not as though it's his kicking game that is poor just now but his defence , passing , stepping , etc is great is it. The really depressing thing is that by spending a fortune on Fitzgibbon , a player by his own admission that wants to stay in the NRL but knew he couldn't , it looks like our SH for 2010 and beyond is going to be the geordie boy.
I am thoroughly depressed.

The sad thing is that he did nothing wrong when he was with Huddersfield but since he's come to you he has been truly awfull. Can't believe he has the nerve to take a wage home after such an awfull display last night. Needs to take a long, hard look at himself and then do your club a favour and launch himself off the Humber Bridge.

That's a question I've been asking sincee we signed Thorman, And one I've put to both Agar and Sharp without getting an answer.

Why did we get rid of Webster to sign Thorman, I for one hope everything I'm hearing about Webster coming back is true.

Simple fact is since Mcrae left we haven't gone forward as a club we've gone backwards and it's all down to one person at the club Kath Hetherington, The sooner she is gone the better we may then get a top class coach as well as some decent players..
