Been to quite a few of them but not for 3 or 4 years. I would say £50 is steep for what it is.
For a start the food at the KC isn't that clever. The players tend to stick to themselves and because it takes place before the season has ended they have to be on their best behaviour and can't really let their hair down. They don't stick around for long once the presentations have taken place because they normally have training the next day. They were better a few years back when they took place once the season had finished. There were a lot more characters at the club too who could string a sentence together and have a conversation with you.
On the plus side they're normally very well organised. Big screens for people at the back, slickly presented although as I said its 3 or 4 years since my last one so things may have changed. Eddie Hemmings is, despite what many people think on these forums a very good presenter and always does an excellent job.
Personally for me, for 50 quid I wouldn't bother, especially after the season the team are having! Who the hell has been player of the year?

Wot he said
Last one I went to it was when Tickle swept the board on everything
Although I enjoyed it, 50 quid is a bit steep for what it is, Eddie Hemmings was great and we found out it wasn't a wig afterall I think you would enjoy it Mrs B, but it is the same (except the winners) year in year out.

Regarding the player of the year bash: It's too expensive for the average fan to attend. Also the price and quality of the beer/drinks is enough to put me off.

TBF, rightly or wrongly it's never been directed at the average fan, it has mainly been a sponsors event which I believe used to be part of their sponsorship package.

What Craig said. been to a few in the past but the timing is now all wrong and £50 is a bit stiff

| I haven't been to one at the KC but i reckon £50 is a snip for an entertaining night out. I don't want to sound like i'm bragging but my mate works for a well known Hull company. They have a corporate table at Old Trafford every SL Grand final and my mate has taken me twice now. Sat in the platinum suite at Old Trafford is an experience but at £1000 a head it should be. So £50 is a bargain if you ask me. How much would you spend in a restaurant and would you be entertained as well.
