Even taken our flag down off the flag pole at the front! If the Council won't give him it he'll simply make it look like it's his anyway! the Tigers eyes stuff is certainly permanent and according to the Mail he never even told us he was doing it!'"
Test of pearson's resolve and influence IMO

| Quote: east hull FC fan "Regarding the flag, as long as they do the same from May-August when the footy season is over I don't see the problem. The Tigers eyes I don't really care about either, don't bother with the blinds. For me, the stadium was never personal to either team, they've tried to address this, as long as we get the same treatment in the Football off-season (which no-one can say they won't) I don't care what they do with it between September and February.'"
Tip of the iceberg, plus it's our head office so it's not as if we only use the place 13 days a year

I agree.
We're equal tenants with comparable financial input into the SMC coffers. It's ours as much as City's [iall year round[/i.
Intrigued as to what emerges over the next few days.

| Quote: al283 "Rumour has it Allam invested rather more at I's - six figure sum for 5 years ?
Six new signings in a week resulted in an away win at Preston, Longy n all. Determined bid to evade relegation.
Maybe he is just a generous benefactor investing in local sport..........................?'"
Mr Allam has recently donated a reasonable amount of money to a local sunday league boys football club. Upon hearing their plans to improve their facilities within a tight budget he told them to scrap the idea, think bigger and he will write a cheque to cover the full amount.
I was speaking with one of the clubs coaches today and the plans look really exciting. I really think that Mr Allam is genuinely trying to do big things for sport in this City and self-interest is not at the forefront of his mind.

Well that's really generous of him and I can see why some people really think he's genuine.
Me I'll just continue being an " Old Sceptic "

A very generous gift to the local footbal team but trying to demand a 40+million stadium for free kind of goes against your self interest theory - unless he scraps the plans for the stadium but builds the sporting village off his own back? -
That said I hope he isnt too frivolous with his money because I suspect Nick Barmby will be knocking on his door in January asking for a fair wedge.

| It won't be long before Allam has replaced the Jack Harrison memorial with one for himself.
