I dont expect us to win either of our last 2 games so will be a nice rest for him. Give Jack Briscoe a game if he's fit.'"
I'd be happy with Briscoe been given a game , See how the lad handles it and if he does ok then Tansey's got something to think about if his form dips.

I was sat munching on some lovely prawn sandwiches in the lower west stand. I think Tansey was unlucky that the tackle worked out how it did but in the same sense he was lucky that shifcofske wasn't seriously injured.
I think I could be right in saying Tansey has form with the RFL and this could work against him.
I think he could easily get 2 games to make an example of him, not man people get done properly for these tackles any more.

Saw an interview with Jack Briscoe at the start of the season and he said his aim was to make his first team debut this year and play once or twice. I know he's been injured for a bit which may have delayed it but i'd like to see him have a go.

I was in the West Stand and couldn't see enough detail to make the kind of absolute statements you have.
I knew it was a penalty straight away but I was surprised to see a red card. Can't recall the last time anyone was sent off for one of these tackles and that includes a number that, on the face of it, were far worse.

I hope he gets the nod if Tansey is banned. We all know Hall has had a stint there with mixed performances to say the least . So why go down that road again.

Wouldnt think we have any other option than playing Jack Briscoe.

| My first reaction of the tackle that it was bad, deserved a penalty but thought a red card was harsh, it looked like momentum was a major factor in him turning onto his head, and Tansey didn't look to hook his arm under his leg or force the players head into the ground, things you'd expect in a red card worthy spear tackle.
Saying that I wasn't suprised he got a red card, as I think the general rule for a spear tackle is a red card after the court case of a player getting injured from one a few years back. I would like to see it again on Sky but the chances of catching it at the right time are slim.

| I wasn't surprised at the red card. The guy landed on his head and could have been seriously hurt. I don't think Tansey could have done a lot about it though and certainly didn't drop him on his head or tip him, it was more to do with him not been able to pull out the tackle and momentum taking the crusaders player over.
I think he will get sending off sufficient.

| Could be good that he got a red as 'on report' may result in the panel looking at things in a different manner ie. he hasn't been punished so we will have to do it, as opposed to, he was sent off and that is sufficient punishment.

If you are not part of the solution then you are more likely part of the problem...: |

Thats a very good point. Last time Tansey got 2 matches for a dangerous tackle that wasnt punished at the time. The committee may see Hull been down to 12 men as part of Tanseys punishment already served hopefully only handing out a further 1 game ban.

Yes he won't get banned because he was off the field for 5 minutes

It doesnt matter if it was 5 minutes or 75.
At the time Hull were down to 12 men with the scores level. It gave Crusaders a distinct advantage...
