Just give me a prop now, just any old prop now.
And you will see..................: |
|
| Sheldon - i bet you are the life and sole of the party, or perhaps you are the miserable tw@ everyone tries to avoid.
I would hazard a guess that if you won £1m on the lottery, you would winge that it wasn't £2m.
If you can't say ANYTHING positive about anyone or anything, perhaps you would better off, I don't know, sodding off?

| If wasn't bad enough still having the Milky Bar Kid,the last two signings have been horrendous, expect a very long season,we won't make the 8,you don't win matches carrying average players, never mind below average one's.
When the season starts I wonder how long it will be,before these posters start to see the light and slag the management, team off.
Let's see.

He probably would if he had made neary 100 SL appearances and scored 40 odd tries.

Don't buy in to this view at all. I reckon we are going to be a really difficult team to beat and play very direct and physical rugby. I think Miller will be given more freedom and the rest of the team will be given a very structured game plan.
I like to be more positive, we aren't going to see exciting rugby, but the difference between best and worst performances will be massively reduced. I can live with that.

Here we have it in a nutshell. You have absolutely NO idea how the season is going to be next year. No-one does, so why you insist on slating the coaches, backroom staff and players off with pure speculation is beyond belief.
By your statement, you have clear vision and have "seen the light". So, I'm dying to know, who do we play in the first 8 games of the season and what are the scores? You must know this, right?
Get a grip. If you don't like the signings or coaching staff, go find another club to "support". I prefer to deal with realism and give people a chance to prove themselves.
Danny Brough was languishing in York playing part-time sport before we signed him, gave him a shot and put him in a Challenge Cup final and now he's probably the best player in the comp.

| Aaron Heremaia was a chef a couple of years ago and has turned out to be one of our most consistent and better players.. Give the guy a chance, as has been said we can't do any worse than Jason Crookes!!

| Any saying we wont finish in the top 8 are being silly, we have at least a good as squad as last year, younger players more experienced and hopefully a coach who will play a better style and get more out of our players.
I'm not confident we will finish in the top 4, but we will make the top 8.
Looking at our signings their are a few gambles and if they work out we might surprise a few people.

| He's cheap as chips. If he fails it's probably worth the punt.
Aaron H was same at one point. Came good didn't he!
He's coming to make his name again, could be a roaring success. Give him a chance.
Regarding Miller,20year old, no off season straight in to a struggling team and living and settling on the other side of the world?! Again give him a chance for Christ's sake!
reading back across these pages is embarrassing! Our 'fans' are becoming easily the biggest set of bellends in rugby!
Wanted young kids to have a chance for years, now we have loads and have to pay for them they're now kicking off because we ain't signing massive names, even though no one else is. Get your heads out of your backsides idiots. Wigan signed clubb and Sargison from London. Says it all about the market.

Aye - bit of a shot to nothing, isn't it? If he can recapture his early career form, it's a win. If not you've got Lineham, Biggs, Crookes, Crooks, Yeaman and Arundel. McGoldrick might be a slightly safer bet, but the potential medium-term returns would be capped pretty low.
The halfback you're bringing in will be a more telling indication of intent.

| I am a bit concerned that we are becoming a home for waifs and strays; players looking to resurrect their careers who can't get a berth elsewhere.
This lad is not an unknown quantity; like Feka we know he can perform at the top level because he's done it before. The question is whether he can do it again.
I don't know the length of his deal but doubt he'll be costing much.
Let's give him a chance and see how he goes.

We're fooked then! haha
Heard the names Chisholm, Rankin and Soward today alone - surprised they haven't announced the signing if all they are waiting for is the VISA as thats all we are waiting on for Talanoa
