Must admit I'd been turned off the games by all the commercial and trademark shenanigans in the run up, but from the outstanding opening ceremony onwards I've been hooked and it's been a triumph IMO.

i just used the official site to check availability and prices - you need to log in and select the paralympics tab then choose the 'search events' option. mind you i've checked again today and the swimming has gone offline along with the rowing and archery, but the weightlifting is on there now all sessions are £15. i guess the availablity comes and goes like the current olympics.

apparently this is the highest demand for paralympics tickets in history

on a slightly different tack, hasn't the bbc website been excellent for its coverage - you can go on here or the iplayer and watch just about everything.

Id got sick of hearing about it but like you,after the opening ceremony,which was superb and not over the top like other ones,ive been watching it all.Made me laugh when people was moaning about no golds...i just said wait for the rowers and cyclists to start.

Why are we not in the least bit surprised.

Still funny though for all of us overgrown schoolboys up and down the land

The whole event from the opening so far has been awesome and made me proud to be british again and I have cheered along to everything i have watched (daily) and I have enjoyed some bits more than others of course, last nights tai kwan do was awesome (wish I had been that good) great to see gold in the ladies boxing as well, and heres hoping the closing ceremony is as cool as the opening...

BUT the highlight of the whole games for me was

LADIES BEACH VOLLEYBALL , now theres a true spectator sport I had watched three heats before i realised there was a ball involved

Got pretty peev'd hearing about it every minute but since the opening Ceremony all I can say is WOW!!!

What a show they have put on and ran it practically to precision. The BBC's coverage has been incredible (bar a couple of numpties like Inverdale)

Team GB has been nothing short of sensational.

Makes you truly proud to be BRITISH again.

Not much prior to 2012 has done this for me recently but this year along with the Jubilee has made me realise what a great country we are and in reality how lucky we are to have been born here!

Shame we dont celebrate our nation as often as we should.

but who is to blame for that, St Patricks only really gets celebrated because Guinness plough so much money into it, St Andrews goes largely unnoticed as does St David Day, we're all too busy navel gazing and looking for someone to blame to pick our heads up and realise we live in a bloody great country with some bloody great people in it.

We are a country that only celebrates history and rarely looks to the future and our potenital, we moan about the "youth" and our politicians are too busy telling us how "broken" the country is, the media have convinced us all we're in a "double dip" recession when, in reality, most people haven't really see THAT much change in their day to day lives. (I admit there are some notable expections to that last point on this very board)
