We swept the board last year, got club and coach of the year, Top Gun, Hit Man, Man of Steel, doubt we'll get anything discretionary this time, mustn't be greedy with the Challenge Cup and Lance Todd already safety in the cabinet.

| We were pretty awful tonight which was hopefully just a hangover from the efforts last week but we were worryingly awful with ball in hand and didn't really create much at all tonight. Far too often we have props standing at first man in the opposition 20 and the movement of the ball is so slow it's easy to defend and add in the lack of any real dummy runners (other than when we did and we messed it up with the obstruction) and it's only really a barge over or a try from a kick that we look likely to score from.
I think if we brought in a specialist attack coach we would be significantly better

| Actually came away feeling a bit sorry for Wakey, wish they were in the 4 ahead of Wigan or Leeds, but pleased with the win, thought we were going to throw it away at the end.

| Really poor first half from Hull, it certainly looked like it wasn't going to be our night. That said the determination we have shown for much of the season was there and we did well to grind out the win against a very good Wakefield team.
Fonua is in a rich vein of form, it's a massive blow to lose him. Hopefully Faraimo settles and can offer something similar.

| Wakey was superb in that first half and we were poor but a lot of that was down to Kelly who's head didnt seem right and couldnt hold a ball - lets hope it was just a bad (hair day) at the office
Lucky to get the two points last night

96% completion in the second half apparently with the only error being the disallowed try. That's a handy turnaround.

It was but despite possession and field position we still struggled to create opportunities. Our attack is pretty predictable

| With hindsight, I think we were probably due a bit of a drop off last night after wembley, a massive effort at leeds 5 days later then another massive effort against wigan with 12 men for 60 minutes. The only thing that mattered last night was the win and hopefully we'll be back on the horse next week.

| Watts really had a total blooming brain freeze
And could have cost us as we certainly hung on
If the Washy try had stood I think it's comfy for us from there on
Wake up with running into defenders Please

| Thought Wakey played very well last night particularly in the first half. We were pretty poor first half, completion rate was shocking and we looked very nervy. Second half was much better but we still looked laboured and showed great resolve to grind out a win which was the important thing. Think Manu was also a big miss for us along with Tuli.
Top marks to Wakey they are a pretty good side and think Chester should get coach of the year for what they've achieved this season.
Think after the exploits of Wembley, the trip to Leeds a few days later and a brutal game against Wigan it was never going to be a great performance by the team in one sense but to grind out the win says a lot about this team.

| Fonua is playing incredible in attack and defence. The most in form player in the comp.
Could get you to old Trafford I reckon!

I think with a lot of these it just gives the defender an easy way out of a misread. Just ensure you make contact with the dummy runner and the try will be chalked off. Needs looking at in my opinion.

We're certainly battle hardened, that's for sure. Hopefully we can raise the quality a bit and hold it together for 80 minutes and I don't think we've got anyone to fear.
