| Quote: Kosh "I understand your general point and agree that our halves aren't anywhere near good enough. But talking specifically about yesterday they did not cost us the game. It was not the fault of the halves that we let in 18 points in the first 25 minutes of the game. In fact we actually created some opportunities to score first that were bombed by sub-standard play from supporting players.
It wasn't the fault of the halves that Crookes dropped a harmless kick to gift Rovers field position leading to a try. Nor that he then got sent off leaving us with 12 men for most of the second half. We then created sufficient opportunities to get back within 2 points before lousy defence, stupid errors, and being two players down (Crookes and Hadley) finished us off.
I actually thought Miller played a little better yesterday. More direct and passing closer to the line. Rankin was completely anonymous though.'"
Good half backs cant do anything behind a beaten pack and other than feka, houghton and ellis who I thought were good, not much else. Why wasn't heremaia brought on earlier,he improved your side big style in the time he was on ?

The thing is that the pack did OK without being spectacular. They certainly weren't dominated like they were in the first Derby. Packs were more or less even over the 80 IMO.
You'd have to ask Radford why Heremaia warmed the bench for as long as he did. He doesn't do long minutes but could have been used more effectively IMO.

| I remember saying at the time it was the wrong appointment. Not enough experience, and no partition between being a player and team mate and then head coach. Quite a few hulls fans agreed with me at the time. I touted harris as a viable option because he'd been a top player and would comman respect, already had experience as a head coach and had done a good apprentiship as an assistant at a top trophy winning team.
He looked ideal to me but sadly koukash has got in there first.
Hull NEED a top coach. They've been crying out for one for nigh on the last decade.

| Thankfully Castleford are winning comfortably against one of our relegation rivals.
Wakefield look a poor side, really sums up how we are.
Hopefully Hudds will do us a favour later too.

He's been there a few weeks.
Everything I had foreseen when radford was appointed has come to pass. It's so laughably predictable.

| Seems to me we have two problems:
1. A squad that isn't good enough for the position in the league we aspire to.
2. A coach that isn't good enough to get the best out of the squad we have.
The first one will take time to fix. The second less so if AP gets a grip.

if only someone who'd watched most of his career and talks to people who watch the GC Titans and their Holden cup team had told us all this beforehand.
Rankin's a FB, and not a very good one at that. Prone to brain farts and is anonymous for large parts of the game. Not my words, but I'm not seeing any reason to disagree.

People were mocking Gale as a target. That was a better kick than anything we managed yesterday.

“We will not accept a top eight finish as a barometer of supposed success at any point in the future whilst I am the owner of this club.
Thats why you got the Bullet Agar...Adam Pearson wants winners...not useless gits like you.

Not saying much though is it?
Other than london and wakey, every club has a half back who is better than all of ours

Perfectly summed up. The squad does need an overhaul (and has done for some time), not least of all in the halfback positions. That will take a while to get right, but we need the right guy in post to fashion a winning team, and who will get the best out of the squad we have in the meantime.

Makes far more sense than allowing the wrong coach to rebuild the squad as some seem to be suggesting we should do
