Maybe James Rule should go sit next to him and count them. Maybe give him some advise on tactics for attacking play too.

We only decided to perform with any intensity around about the 70th minute on Sunday. Unless we get less tired as the game progresses, which seems unlikely, I would say that the players are choosing when to play at the required level instead of putting it in from minute 1.

Agree, I think Agar is out of his league but you cant simply blame him. The players were awful apart from a couple of minutes around the 70 minute mark when we showed how easy it is to beat Salford. Its just a shame we couldnt put it to bed and allowed them in to win the game !

Seriously, i didnt see a great deal wrong with our players other than the odd missed tackle. I did see an awful lot wrong with out tactics both on the field and the interchanges. The players are being wrongfully targetted imo.'"
I thought the effort of most of the players was way below the required standard. Tactics etc play a part but we were getting dominated from the first minute both in defence and attack. Thats until we actually decided to try and win the game around the 70 minute mark, so where did this extra energy suddenly come from?

Maybe they are coached to with a 5 day turnaround to our next game. It happens.

I don't really care about performances in the reserve grade tbh. I think G.Horne has been poor and needs to be dropped from the squad imo. I have been really unimpressed with Thorman and not fully sure if I would drop him, but at the moment my mind says I would. I don't think Washy is a great half but I think if he got the ball a bit in the first 15-20 mins his confidence would grow. Plus Horne has been quite good at organising the team this year and he needs somthing to kick start him again as he hasn't been as good since Bradford away.
I think we need a bit of 'boom' from the start and think Moa could provide that more than Thackray tbh. I think Dowes is a better starter than Cusack, and feel Cusack could really stamp his authority on the game if he came on after 15 minutes and played a large part in the game.
Our back row has been playing poorly at the moment. Manu is been used too much and I think he is better of the bench. Lee at 13 would have someone who is strong and reliable, and who isn't too bad with ball in hand.
I think it is key to bring Houghton back onto the bench. He hasn't been 10/10 so far but I feel his role is fairly crucial when he gets on form, and Rovers at home could inspire him.
Whether you agree or not, it obviously won't happen. Probably because I have thought about it too much and all that matters is 5 drives and a kick

Why didn't he play some reserve graders then and rest some players ahead of a busy easter period? After 2 defeats I'm sure Agar didn't go into this game thinking we would beat a SL team at a canter.

I cant predict why Agar did what he did and why he does what he does in any aspect of his coaching. Im a fairly logical bloke and he clearly isnt!!

If he thought the game would be easy enough to play at a reduced effort with thoughts of a 5 day turn around then surely he would simply have planned to still play at a high intensity but change the personnel?
I still think the players didn't put the required effort in and I know for a fact at least 1 of them was out on the town the night before.

Looking at the reserves there was no one really to bring in though. Think Agar may have lost the dressing room you know, certain key players dont respect him enough to stay in the night before a game. I dont know that for a fact but i know the rumours.
