Can't believe people still get suckered into these rumours, just shows how desperate some of our fans are. If we sign anyone it wil be Phelps, and with our lack of options at the moment would be a good signing, my only worry is if he were signed when would he get here?

Not the point of who paid more, was still a big money signing.

The Westerman deal was ideal for both parties, Cas got a decent fee for a player who had gone a bit stale and was reported to be becoming a big drinker and getting into bad habits, we got a talented young player who could be a good player for the club for a decade if handled right, by paying a fee we got the player earlier and ensured we wouldn't be outbid, which would have probabally happened on the open market.

No club will want to lose a quality halfback at this late stage especially, would take a much bigger fee then what we paid for Westerman to get a proven quality player.

And got done for breaching the Salary Cap in the same year!!!

I would imagine Phelps could arrive very quickly, he certanly didnt take too long to make his debut for Wigan when he arrived from Canterbury and from what i hear he is very eager to link up with another Superleague Club due to his current circumstances.

Considering Phelps has now left Wigan many of our supporters want to see him do well and it was a shame that his good form was ended by injury because in the games that he did play in 2010 he looked very sharp.

I think Phelps would be a shrewd signing for Hull F.C. - he's relativley young, and can cover a number of positions.
