Whilst it is good news to see us receive a Grade A rating, I can't help but find it dissapointing to see us down in 7th. It is a shame the club has found itself in this position.

Dare I say, I am in some ways glad we are behind Rovers, because nothing will put the fire in the Clubs belly more.

Yeah we will definitely have lost points when a portion of grading is based on league position from the last 3 years. Really need to improve on that this year.

Think we're a bit unlucky that the reserves/academy doesn't have any weighting on the grading, as we would score pretty highly in that regard. In my opinion this should be one of the main focus points of the whole grading system.

Win SL and still be relegated.

Thats the stupidity of this grading system.
IMG want 12 grade A teams in S/L .They are in dreamland
Its not fit for any purpose but talking points.
It should always be what happens on the field that counts not how many burgers you sell at a match to enhance the match experience

So what future IMG proposals will generate profits?
I can think of only one obvious one and thats an increase in gate receipts but for a company who wanted to scrap Magic weekend and 60000 plus fans that doesnt make sense nor does the fact that Sky will televise every S/L game which undoubtably will have an effect on the number of fans attending matches.

It's not up to me to come up with ideas. If their proposals do not yield profits presumably IMG lose out.

Thats my point.Nothing IMG have come up with would yield profits for them thats why my opinion is they wont work for nothing for 12 years so have to be charging the RFL for their work.
We will know anyway next year when the RFL accounts are available

Okay, life is short and it is slightly disorientating for me taking on the role of optimist in a conversation… so, briefly:

They’ve only just started. Nobody is more scarred than me by #-year RL-related plans… but in this case I think it is appropriate. It might not work because things often don’t and RL has issues sticking with stuff. But if it isn’t working, why would the RFL then start paying?
If this is it and IMG are now just going to sit back and wait for the money to start rolling in for the next 11 years, then I accept they’re in for a disappointment. My assumption is that this is just a first step.
