Why not play Lancaster allowing Talanoa to play centre which would have released Whiting to play in the second row.

Why bring Cunningham back to interchange with Houghton when after 15 minutes he brings Cunningham on at 13.

Your forgetting Carvell, whom is on a wedge according to the Warrington fans - whilst he's not with you any more, it's seemed like you've been struggling to move cap space around ever since he moved to you, and right royally messed you up. As won't have been cheap either, walking away from a cushy union salary. Top it off with a couple of re-signings (shaul who'd of gone from a pittance to a sl salary) and genuinely I'd be amazed if you were 200k under the cap, let alone 400k!

As a point I've been meaning to ask, why is it believed McDonnell was on a big salary? He at most can be on at saints is (clough and gardner - contract extensions for our 3 most promising youngsters) which without knowing the figures could only really be 50k - I doubt he'd take a huge wage drop to stay in the country so it can't of been that much?
