Personally I would be more than happy with Yeamo & Turner and I believe they could take us to the next level, however it appears Turner is not in the plans so all I can hope is that we get a decent Aussie across.
One thing is for sure players like Martin will definitely not take us to the next level, doing a decent job for us but I doubt we will see full length tries from him like Turner provides given the chance.

So when all fit,why is Martin over him then.The coaching staff must see something to play Martin and be after Arundle to replace both Martin AND Turner.

If they are all fit I doubt Turner will lose his spot based on his recent performances....If the deal is done & dusted at Saints maybe the club knew they could not retain Turner so looked for a replacement.

Be intresting to see what happens there then.

Still don't understand this. Why wouldn't you go on his current form? Just because he couldn't hold down a centre spot in the past doesn't mean he couldn't do so now. Martin could be chosen before him because maybe he has a more positive effect on Sharp.

and because the coaching staff (whom coach for real not virtual like some on here) see him day in day out and know the guy / the game more than we do as well...

On current form Turner is a starter
when fit Yeaman is a starter
for experience and closing a huge gap we had Martin has done a cracking job
great situation to be in

however Turner they say is leaving (yet with no basis other than this forum)
Martin due to his age is clearly not the future for FC
Yeaman is the constant

lets see whether Turner does leave yet , if he does not i see Yeaman and Turner as starting centres and a good pairing too, if Turner goes then he goes and we promote or bring in a new dude and move on

I wasn't a huge fan of Turner last year but this year you could argue he has been our best back. Offers genuine pace outwide and knows how to get over the line. Defence is far better this year and will improve the more he plays. You could even make a case for moving Yeamo over to the right centre spot and giving Turner the left centre spot.

Agree he has had an outstanding season so far, but what would moving him and yeaman achieve?

Agree but thats because of the different styles of the two centres i guess!!

Turner looks much more comfortable on the left side IMO and his combination with Briscoe is far better than Yeamo/briscoe IMO. Yeamo is the better defender and would help the right hand side defence.

I prefer the 'knows how to put his winger away' style personally. Not to mention the 'can score from long distance' style.

I hadn't been impressed at all by Turner for most of his time here, although he showed some flashes of promise at centre last season. But the fact is that he's come on leaps and bounds during the closed season and is now comfortably the best centre at the club on current form. I'll be disappointed if he leaves, which is something I wouldn't have thought just a few months ago.
