He has a deal on the table, been there since early in the season. The thing is I don't think these is any kind of signifcant improvement in any way for him financially so he did not sign it immediately. I was told by someone he really wants to stay and love the club, players and Agar but I reckon he would be silly not to see if he could command more money elswhere. I don't think we will offer him more cash as he has not progressed this season so it's over to him now.

I can't see Hall staying. How has he progressed? His only use is as a utility back-up three-quarter, and even then I'd much rather use Lyne for the wings and Whiting for the centre/wing/full-back spots. I expect we'll sign a winger and a centre in the off-season, and offload Calderwood and Hall.

winger is a definite. Not sure we need a centre though with whiting, turner and berro to play there. Could lyne be the winger next year?

I really would like to see Tuffour given a chance on the wing.
Whiting will be a back rower next year, Turner wants to be a 13 and you've got more chance of me playing centre than Berro. So i think a centre is a must.

People really need to forget about Whiting in the pack.

This week we have both our first choice wingers unavailable if Tuffour was going to get a chance I would have thought it might be at home to Salford. That said I dont expect him to be in the 19 man squad tomorrow!

Agar has said that he sees Whiting as a centre who can play back-row, rather than vice-versa.

Lyne would need to get at least half a dozen first team games under his belt this season to be anywhere near being a starter next season. I'd use him as back up next season, take the pressure off him. We'd end up with the same situation as Peter Sharp giving Craig Hall a starting centre spot too soon if we aren't careful. Lyne is only 17, he needs to be introduced gradually.
