Correct. They've made only minor changes in personnel and are the frontrunners by a country mile. Fitness regime is top notch by all accounts and as you say they'd clearly done plenty of detailed gameplanning. Very impressive.

Are you saying that after only 6 games as a head coach Michael Maguire is already world class?

Absolutely, he has transformed them just as Brown did last year with Huddersfield.
As for Agar, six games in with four wins is way too soon for fans to be calling for his head. I guess we will have a clearer picture in a couple of months time. If by the end of May we are out of the cup and mid table then questions will inevitably have to be asked.

I agree, knee jerk reacation and sacking Agar is pointless at this momment in time
However what does worry me is that Sean Long created the game plan for our 1st game at Saints, yet since then our 2 away performances have been woeful at Crusaders and Wigan last night
Wigan exploited us on the fringes all night with ease imo, were ruthless and once they had joy there kept coming and coming at us in the same place yet we couldn't do anything to stop it
Yes we were penalised out the game but tbh i didn't think we were that indiciplined last night, and Wigan were piggy backed up field in every other set so we could never get in the game, also why ddo we never see Manu and Luakai on the field at the same time
I don't think Agar will have his contract renewed, and you can see what a new coach an have effect on a team as Mcguire has done with the samew team as he had as last season, we need to recruit a world class coach for next season everything else in place

| Wonder if he'll pick Justin up on his way to the dole queue by the way some fans were speaking last night?

Morgan is a very good coach, but I do think he's got a bit of a god complex. That comment he made about Mike White "trying to make a name for himself at my expense" when he was asking a reasonable question about the week's main talking point just highlights his rather over-inflated view of himself. Is he well? I've thought a few times this season that he looks a bit grey and not quite right?

Probably a bit stressed about the behaviour of a certain soon-to-be ex-player.

Wigan were excellent last night but have won nothing yet. If they win one or both trophies then Maguire will rightly be afforded the accolades. Until such time as that happens he is just another SL coach. No trophies up for grabs in March. I've searched around last week's posts but cant find any praise for his transformation of the Wigan side after last week's poor defeat at Bradford.

I thought his after match interview on sky was harsh on the young ones, he declared on national tv one would be dropped/rested

| Too all the Agar out brigade If we come away from the Derby with 7W-2L would you class that as acceptable form to keep his job.

| It's a bit early for "AGAR OUT" threads and TBH they make us all look a little bit silly. We were always going to lose last night, unless something fantastic happened, but a strong performance resulting in a tight and high quality game would have been nice. As has been said, a loss is a loss and now a win against Bradford is paramount.
I don't think that Agar is the man for the job but we will all know one way or the other within the next month or two. A top six finish, for me, is the absolute minimum that would constitute a more than disappointing season and for Agar to be offered a new contract, we would probably have to be a couple of notches higher than that with a decent show in the CC.
