| I'd be baffled if we signed Meli but not completely surprised.
Give Calderwood another year on reduced terms if we're really that stumped for an experienced winger.

| Rather keep Calders than have Meli. Ok Claders has had his injury problems this year but hopefully that is behind him and i would not be dissapointed if he got another year. If we go to bring in yet another ageing player though it shows we are not looking to build for the future but going for yet another quick fix which is what we have attempted this season.

Gutted that it seems Calders is going, although if it's, say, on the physio's advice, that would make it understandable. A player I would never have said I wanted at the club prior to him signing but who provided some rare bright moments in a shambolic 2009. Whilst we're on the subject of players going at the end of the season, I hope the club does what they did with Swain and Godwin a couple of years back and lets them come out for a goodbye round of applause before the last home game.

With the ball he looked really good. His one on one defence was shocking and he got constantly out muscled by his oppposing winger and as a result let in two tries.

I agree if it is for medical reasons then that is fair enough. Would also be a good gesture if he & Cusack come out for a goodbye after the Leeds game or the playoff game if we get a home tie.

Pretty sure we will be keeping both which is fine with Cusack leaving.

That depends on your definition of "fine".
I would keep one of them at most. Not particurlarly bothered which one because there's nothing between them. They are both nothing more than mediocre.

| The problem is British players are becoming a premium commodity nowadays. I just cannot see who you can replace them with, we will need another coming in to replace Cusack and if we let Dowes and/or Radford go you are then look for 2 or 3 props and to find betters ones and stay under the cap will be a hard task.

| If Dowes and Radford both stay, which I think they will, I'd like us to sign another big mobile prop, like Louis McCarthy Scarsbrook to complete our 5 props.
If Francis Meli is Calderwoods replacement then I'd be disappointed, even though he is big fast winger, he's too old and picking up more injuries, would go for a youngish British winger, like Will Sharp or even Darrell Goulding.
Then I'd like us to sign scrum half cover for Long, someone like Matty Smith who could line up elsewhere in the 17.

I'd be happy with them players but can't see any of them coming , pretty sure matty smith is staying at salford , can't see wigan letting goulding go at all not sure about sharp , meli is getting older but reckon he would still a job and the games he does miss would be ideal chance to give reece lynne a game

| I think therin lies the problem, so many of us are happy to have ageing players join the club.

I would rather have a younger prospect but hard to come by and putting a lot of pressure on reece lynne expecting him to be number 1 winger , how about luke burgess was he injured last night if he wasn't with a lot of rhinos forwards missing he could be a realistic target
