Agreed, but our centres appear to be cack and we have shaul for fullback. got to be worth a try IMO

Gary Connolly managed to adapt pretty well. Greg Inglis does ok at both. Darius Boyd did ok until the depression. I'm see no reason Rankin couldn't become a great centre for us, although I can't see it as we've already signed an NRL centre.

Berrigan-esque, this conversation. Just got excited after his couple of games at centre then it was all whisked away.

Don't mean to be pedantic but Boyd is a fullback for his club and winger for Origin/Australia. Although I agree that I could see him working there but we another centre signed apparently it won't happen.

If Rankin pairs up better with Sneyd, Pryce could always play in the centre I know he isn't as fast as he was but with a decent speedy winger outside of him, we know he is more then capable of putting him away.

Slater, Boyd, Inglis, Hayne with Morris being the odd one out.

Whilst it's true at rep level he has only played in those positions, back when he played for Brisbane, Wayne Bennett played him at centre for two seasons in a row.

Our centres for next year are Crooks, Sa, Yeaman and now Logan plus the new signing with additional cover from Talanoa.

I don't think we need to switch anyone around... but if I had to do something weird I'd play Rankin at hooker. Quick off the mark, passes well, decent kicking game. Get him to do boxing training with Radders in the off-season to ugly him up a bit and he could do really well.

I agree with what others have said about Rankin. Aside from his halfback role, at this moment in time he's suited to play fullback not at centre. But he's young enough to adapt and it could be worth a try.

Interesting idea but I think that we'll be waiting awhile to see a Rankin/Sneyd partnership. Barring injury I can't see us doing anything other than a Pryce/Sneyd partnership.

Don't forget Arundel to come back.
