| Quote Hullandproud="Hullandproud"I heard that. But I thought the player had to have played a certain amount of first grade games before they were allowed to play in super league. Didn't we try to sign a young halfback at the start of the season, only to to be knocked back because of that reason'"
Depends what passport they have.

| Quote Ellam="Ellam"It annoys me that people think Bateman and Whitehead are just gunna come to Hull because we have cash maybe they want to stay at Bradford mainly in Whiteheads case but for me Bateman will end up at Wire or in Australia. I'd be happy with Arundel, Ellis, Crookes, Holdsworth, Galea, McDonnell and AN Other and the retention of Houghton, O'Meley and Briscoe plus we also got Pitts and Watts in last season too.'"
Not next year he won't, and depending on outcome of negotiations maybe not anytime in forseeable future either. definitely at bradford for 2013 season at least.

Or perhaps, your take on Galea...
And...
You need new sources, BB, but lets look at your final list of our, ahem, signings...
Over and out. I'll say.

| With the lack of halfback talent, wouldn't we be better keeping Seymour than sign a NRL reserve grade player.
TBH happy that we have signed one very good halfback.

Seymour failed a medical at giants, as previous regime signed him with no medical, ala adam dykes

We tried to sign Michael Picker, Canberra's reserve stand off. Think it was drink driving charges that stopped him getting a visa but can't quite remember. Picker's not standing out in the reserves so it was maybe for the best.
Best thing about Chase not signing is that we can target a genuine scrum half, and let Holdsworth play his preferred, natural position of stand off.

| Jacob Miller (West Tigers) is your man!
''Besides NRL appearances, Miller played in the Wests Tigers' Toyota Cup team. He scored 5 tries and 128 points for the season, as was named as halfback in the competition's Team of the Year.''

Unless he has a EU passport I would doubt he would get a Visa, not played enough games.
Thats the reason we couldn't sign Micheal Picker from the NRL (not because of a driving offence like previously stated).

| I posted last week about a young Half playing in the NRL feeder league we're suposed t be looking at. Problem is which was pointed out to me at the time by Sheldon you have to meet certain criteria (games played etc)
I have been told since that he's a south sea islander, so would that make a difference to him getting over here.?

| Work permits for sports people are issued to those who are internationally established at the highest level and whose employment will make a significant contribution to the development of their sport at the highest level in the UK, so I guess a player in a lower league will have no chance.
[url=http://www.therfl.co.uk/~rflmedia/docs/RFL%20GBE%20Requirements%202012%20as%20at%2010%20April%202012.pdfThis[/url would suggest that we have no chance via the work permit route, so unless some other visa or passport is an option, we ain't getting someone from below NRL level.
