WHY DON'T THE DOBBINS PLAY IN GREEN SHIRT, GREEN SHORTS AND GREEN SOCKS IN ORDER TO EXPRESS THEIR INFINITE ENVY OF EVERYTHING BLACK AND WHITE??:icons42da_files/5424-2890lipst1ck_d0rk-msnicons.jpg |

| Quote: carl_spackler "Despite the fact he's been named at 13, Fitzgibbon is still pretty much a prop. He's essentially done what Radford did there before being named in the front row, just to a higher standard and for 80 minutes. I think he can be recognised enough to be an actual prop, not just a backrow covering up.
As for if there was an injury, that's when I'd move Lauaki up and bring in probably Burnett or Whiting if he can put weight on. Would still sooner see us bring a prop in though, personally.'"
Agree ! Fitz is basically a prop and let's face it, he's good enough to play anywhere but I was thinking more about the lack of backrowers if we were to move him or Lauaki (or both) upto the frontrow. Our backrow is as good as any squad in SL but take out Fitz and Lauaki and it starts to look very thin indeed. We need a big prop or a very good backrower.
I don't think that Prescott is the answer though. Not big enough, not good enough.

Take out one of them and it just means Washbrook to loose man, which is still his best position. Take out both, and as I say it's probably Burnett coming in. But yes, bringing someone in for the pack is the best option, and seems to be what the club are trying to do. Undecided either way on Prescott TBH, but it's a pretty thin market ATM.

When Agar talks, nobody listens or is interested in what he has to say

From the midnight sun where the hot springs blow.
How soft your fields so green, can whisper tales of gore,
Of how we calmed the tides of war. We are your overlords.[/size:2i96kzio]:14109.jpg |

What I don't agree with are the suggestions he should be one of our centres for next year, as some are wanting. He should remain one of our first choice wingers for next year at least.'"
Yet Briscoe was our first choice centre for this year?

| Disapointted we didn't sign Jake Emmitt from Saints who has just signed for Cas.
Looked a very good prospect when I have seen him.
Could of been the just the young prop we need.

Now now language.
So who would sign other than Prescott then, bearing in mind who is available and the fact we need money for other areas of the team too?

| Quote: carl_spackler "Not so convinced by your claims of Lauaki as a prop in the NRL. Seem to recall him as an interchange capable of both, but primarily in the back row. IIRC, much was made of his handling out wide when he signed, and there was a lot of talk that he was to replace Crocker because he was a fellow back rower, which Hull denied by saying that he could also play prop. He's a 2nd rower, mate.
As for Briscoe, people are saying he should play centre so that he sees more of the ball. I would counter that by saying that instead we should sort our attacking game out so that our wingers see more of the ball, then it won't be an issue. I'm not convinced centre is his best position, as I've never seen him play there at first team level (something many seem keen to ignore, or just assume he'll just move with no problems).'"
Personally I think our props will be Ogre, Moa, Radford plus Dowes or new signing. Lauaki will provide birst back up and then Fitz, that seems plenty to me.
I'd like to see Briscoe move eventually but not convinced next season is the right time, we have one of SL best wingers and I would like to see him play there for at least another season but perhaps in friendlies or if we draw a NL side in the CC then he could have a run out in the centres.

So in the event of only two injured forwards, we have a backrow of what ?? Whiting Burnett Washbrook ?
We don't have enough backrowers to be able to put Lauaki AND Fitz into the frontrow.
Two or three injured forwards and we won't have a pack left.
