It was such a cowardly challenge it probably even disgusted him - he was near it. The only surprise was we didn't lose the ball on halfway on the first tackle after the penalty and they scored from it.'"
If what Siverwood did was the letter of the law then fair enough but that law lacks common sense. Really highlighted how a team can lose an advantage simply so a ref can place a player on report. |

Does lack common sense. The only advantage to us would have been if he'd stopped the game to send Newton off.
If it is the letter of the law it's confusing because i've seen it applied differently in the past. |

hes not only surprised me but delighted me.
I'd keep him in the 3/4's this year then, if we can recruit well in the off season, get him in the gym and move him to the back row.
I'd even give him a lenght of a contract he wants. |

The only difference is that if it goes on report then the video review panel have to look at it. If not, it's at their discretion. Personally I'm not convinced that this slight difference is worth worrying about, especially in a situation like yesterday when the side who have been infringed against have gained a clear advantage. |
