God we were awful. Look at the speed they attack with, or run on to the ball. We look so laboured. Ref was awful, but we were worse. Can I just ask what rule book the referee was using as he let saints have a free play twice!

Hugely disappointing display. I was really confident if not of winning then at least of giving them a real game.

Poor start killed us, 0-12 after ten minutes we were never really going to come back. Saints are simply too good to be given such a start.

The thought of playing them at Wembley is frightening especially as they'll be rotating their squad before then.

It's for the most part exactly what most people expected I imagine.
Saints are the best side in the league by a distance currently, we all know we are nowhere near this year. The second row is largely ineffective but there is a squad overhaul going on that looks promising.
I'm not sure you can whinge about not winning a grand final when surely nobody has any illusions we were going to this year?

For what it's worth I do think we are capable of a better performance than that. Didn't exactly get the rub of the green or bounce of the ball either. (Not that effected the result before anyone starts)

Lane and Savelio is a miles better second row for us than Mini and Manu. They are becoming liabilities unfortunately

You mean like they did at London?
Not too good against a team with real spirit that didnt cave in like we do

Great summary, especially re the back row. Seems like we' ll be trading up next year.

They could have top spot sewn up in a couple of weeks so they'll not be bothered about resting playings and potentially losing in the last few rounds. They'll be full strength at Wembley.

Quote: bonaire "Good crowd again and you let us down again
We dont know what the problem is with Green and Savelio but it seems Hadley has now been disregarded as he is leaving and possibly the same with Green but surely if fit Green is a far better option than Fash and at the moment i would take Hadley in the place of either Minichello or Manu.
Our front row is poor.None of them run tough and tackle tough.
No doubt we will hear about at least one signing next week to keep the heat off teflon Radford.'"

To be fair to Radford I was sat near Hadley and he was limping, although if fit I would have him in in front of butter fingers mini and manu.

Too many errors, poor defence, panicking with the ball near their line and too many players yet again having an off night.
Add that all into the mix and we revert back to type, 1 out rugby.
Last 10 minutes when we did throw it about we scored a couple of good tries.
Really expected a performance after last week too.

Don't think the ref was to blame in any way, we were the masters of our own demise.
Saints I thought unfortunately were joy to watch with their attacking flair and support play.

I agree our second row is ineffective but the concern is the front row which continues to be run over by most teams
I just hope at least one our proposed signings is a big athletic front row.
Irrespective of promising additions to the squad they really have to perform as nothing is won on paper.

Don’t want to slag Radford , because I do like him , but with 2 teams pretty much even talent wise. The coaching for me the difference between the 2 sides tonight, and it ain’t just a small difference, it’s huge

Yet he is named in the reserve team for tomorrow
Any info on Green or Savellio?
