“We will not accept a top eight finish as a barometer of supposed success at any point in the future whilst I am the owner of this club.
Thats why you got the Bullet Agar...Adam Pearson wants winners...not useless gits like you.

Well he the golden boy isnt he.....its when he gets tackled and wraps the tackler up and milks the pen that gets me,plus he looks one arrogant little turd and has to have his brother protect him......

Better than the tactics the Hull KR's fans used on him last year.

Absolutely spot on.
The turning points were Washbrook's poor knock on and conceding 4 penalties in a row after the sending off one of which was given against us when we had the ball. That starved us of any possession to take advantage of the sending off. We were very hard done to in the last 10 yet still should have had a point.

I won't argue with the sending off - but Ganson was at fault for not sin binning J. Tomkins and Yeaman for the bust up. He had no control over the game, it was ALWAYS going to boil over.
Nothing wrong with our tactics btw. Yes we control the collision - it's an Australian style of rugby and it won us the league last year. We don't mess about at the play the ball and try to hurt opposing players, which is what your lot did all day today.

we played you at your own game and your team and fans didn't like it, manu got put on report and rightly so, j tomkins is a thug, plain and simple, must be something in the family that makes one a niggly play actor and the other a cheap shot merchant, not only in todays game but in past games
i think your just upset that you didnt post 30-40 points like the vast majority on the wigan board were expecting

I hope he gets the book thrown at him, but he'll probably get a pat on the back from the RFL, a smacked bum at the most. Don't know who he thinks he is and yes, he deserves all the rough treatment he gets well done the lads.
Why not take it to you, do you think clubs should just lay down and die, oh yes, it's Wigan you do, how very silly of me.
By the way, well done overall today to the team for more than just turning-up, apart from a handful of brainfarts, you did do us proud. Also, well said Agar.'"
If you watch the replay the initial contact was with Yeaman's chest, then he raised his arms. If there hadn't have been a bust up seconds before the referee wouldn't have done anything about the incident. It was Ganson's fault for having no control over the match - Yeaman and Tomkins should have seen yellow to diffuse the situation. Instead Joel got the ball from the tap and went straight for Yeaman.
He'll also get a three game ban, he plays for Wigan after all, Red Hall will show him no leniency.
There's a difference between 'taking it to' a team and playing outside of the rules.

Under Maguire's rein I've yet to see an opposing player go off injured due to a gang tackle by Wigan.

its a way of slowing the opposing team down, yet when we or other teams do it to wiggan, you cry foul and call it poor tactics

Wait....you think THAT'S what Hull FC were doing to Wigan today? Good god. There's a difference between controlling the collision and messing about after the tackle.

Maybe we should adopt the tactics used by some of your fans last season and pelt him with coins and lighters.

Wigan put at least as many high shots on today as Hull did. The difference was that they were not pulled up for them. In particular Fitzgibbon made a break down the middle in the first half and was virtually decapitated but as his head just stayed on Ganson declined to give a penalty. As for Sam Tompkins a fine talent with the ball he's not really a very likeable player in other ways - pretty cynical to be truthful.

| Great performance I thought, the referee gave a few contentious decisions yes but he didn't lose us the game. Sharp not covering his winger in defence was the only problem today.
Obst caused them problems all game, think he will be a very shrewd signing for us.
