Quote: Sheldon "Cameron Phelps - 11 Feb 85
Matt Bowen - 8 Mar 82
Anthony Minichiello - 24 May 80

Don't get me wrong the others are better than Phelps but they are a few years older and have had injury problems, they could also demand long contracts and we could end up in the 'Long' situation.'"

But we already have Whiting if the need arises, we never did with Long.
My preference is for Bowen at FB, maybe 2years with an option? The problem we then have is after that, up until this year it looked like J. Briscoe would be groomed for FB, now this year that's changed.
I'd like Scott Grix if I'm completely honest, just don't think its possible.

well a 3 year deal with the third as a option like ogre i think would tempt him even minichello on a 2 year deal would be good

Minichello on a 1 year deal would be 12 months too long. Bowen or Phelps for me.

agree bowen would be a class signing, who knows what jack briscoe might end up been a may well get a chance at 1 in first grade in the next couple of years and look good there. as for grix agree he looks good ect but again thats down to him playing under a top coach that gets his team playing in a attacking style that obviously suits him nothing nothing more then average but playing well in a good attacking team that suits him

Haven't rated him for a while, his injuries have crushed him. He's the Aussie equivalent to Paul Wellens.

Bowen for Phelps if possible, but if not I wouldn't be too disappointed with the way Cam is playing and improving.

Our main priority is a 7. We NEED a reliable 7 with a kicking game to go further IMO.

There's one out of contract not too far away, he wouldn't even need to move house!

I think both clubs still have the same estate agents working for them so we could just transfer the rental payments!

Disagree, Obst is doing a great job of cover half/interchange hooker and only has short kicking game. To have Horney purely as a back up is such a waste, he will go well alongside a 7 who has a long kicking game.

A new 7 is a must, it's the only new signing I am really bothered about at the moment.

I know you guys want a marque No7 but how about the young lad who got injured earlier in the season(Nicklas(sp)). Plus how far is he regarding his rehab?

Nicklas is a 6 mate, haven't heard much about his rehab but he wasn't expected back before September iirc. He's still too young and inexperienced to play every week. He'll be Horne's successor I'd imagine.

I had that idea to after reading numerous reports on him on here.
Still not to sure about this too young and inexperienced to play every week, always believed if your good enough, your old enough.
