What statistics and facts? Non are quoted. That is typical Trump. You seem to belong to the same school of thought.

Best to ignore bumpy, he may as well start a petition against Covid, he only thinks what he wants to believe, not the truth, and certainly not facts.

I didn't say any had been quoted did I?
I was referring to the statistics and facts that are readily available, to anyone with an internet connection, and which show that the virus isn't as deadly as first thought.
I'll give you one STAT for starters.
Up to the 31st July this year, there had only been 300 deaths recorded of a person under 60 years of age, from/with Covid, when no other condition/co-morbidity was present.
So the FACT is that a healthy person who catches the virus is very unlikely to die from/with it..

Whatever the circumstance, it was always going to happen, just unfortunate for us that we are the headline at the moment. I am certain nobody did anything deliberate, the season should just be cancelled if there is a level of concern.
If you took (not you personally) 30 people off the street and tested them, 50% would test positive. Herd Immunity is what will help us all, but we are not going to get rid of the virus. HIV, SARSetc. all still exist, we have learnt how to manage them. Flu is still a bigger threat than anything other than cancer, and that comes in various forms as well.
A bit like the film Dodgeball, duck, dive, dodge, don"t let it hit you, if it does, sit out a round and come back stronger.'"
I don’t think I’ve read such nonsense in a long time. And I’m the troll (would just like to confirm I am definitely not a Rovers fan as already pointed out several times).

And what might that number have been if no preventative measures had been taken (which you appear to be supporting)?

Thanks for the information. Please give me the link to the source of your stat so that I can judge for myself if I believe it to be a fact.

I absolutely support the initial measures that have been taken and fully understand the reasons for them.
What I now think, based on the facts and figures, is slightly different.
Also to state that it could have been worse if we hadn't done X or Y, is open to debate, given the Swedish model of dealing with it, ie no lockdown and similar statistics.

Completely irrelevant, you’re missing the point. Whether he was fine before, or not, he shouldn’t have been anywhere near any Hull FC player or staff for two weeks. Pangai Jr was sacked for getting a haircut yet we have Swift going to about as high risk a place as you could go to and turning up for training. If Swift has turned up with symptoms then he should be sacked because that goes beyond displaying a lack of common sense and would be a breach of government guidelines.

NHS figures for hospital deaths
https://www.england.nhs.uk/statistics/w ... -file.xlsx
That link should lead you to a document which has a more updated version of the data, for deaths in hospital.

You are right, if you had been tested positive for Covid six weeks ago, and then got hit by a bus, Covid would be on the death certificate.
The whole thing, worldwide, is somewhat of a fudge. Be interesting to see comparable figures for alcoholism and smoking and road accidents.
