I wouldn't ever take Briscoe back. Lazy get just coasted while waiting for an NRL team to come forward. Let him fester at the bottom of the league. The only 2 players I'd take from Leeds are Lilley and Keinhorst. The rest are not even good enough for Rovers.

People remember a different Briscoe to me, his was excellent whilst at Hull, I never remember him coasting at Hull, his attitude and effort was top class. He decided to go Leeds to win things and in one season he has won more than his entire Hull career, so you can't blame him, hopefully this will change in the next few years and players like Tom won't want to leave Hull for the likes of Leeds. I would have Tom back in a heartbeat.

Im not questioning the guys ability or his try scoring record etc,etc but lets not forget this is the same tom briscoe who couldnt wait to engineer a move away from us. Yes i know people move on to bigger and better things but the way he wanted out at every sniff at his door left a sour one in my mouth, for me he acted classless!

A fully fit Tom Briscoe would walk into any SL team and a fair few NRL teams.

To not want that type of playing your side is just plain childish.

We have Michaels & Naughton in his place, on almost the same cash, 2 for 1, so it was a loss at the time but I see it as a gain.

Maybe it was going to Leeds that hacked me off but to be fair i dont think we miss him at this moment in time. Im also a big believer in you dont go back, yes Briscoe's a decent player but i think there's plenty more about than him with the same capabilities. As for been childish i dont think i am, what if he re-signed for Hull then we had a poor season again, would he then decide Hull was not for him again????

Briscoe, at his time of leaving was one of the top 3 wingers in Super League (Hall and Charnley being the other 2). Having been at Hull for 6 seasons, we'd been in 2 losing CC finals and a best finish of 6th in SL. He came to the end of his contract and was free to leave. Its not like he was holding the club to ransom (ala Schofield) or walked out on us (ala Cooke).

If Hull had a poor season, any player could in theory say they didnt fancy it any more.

Have the rules changed again re dragging a player into touch? I thought they'd changed it to push only. Taylor just dragged a Waky player.
