| Quote: chico's nose "The touch judge was the same one who fecked up big time in the first half when he didn't manage to see the most blatant knock on from the wolves. Ganson listened to him, then had to change his mind when the in goal touch judge had correctly informed him of what had happened. This might have been the reason why he ignored the touchy on the second occassion, although I am not saying it is right.
It is instances like this that make me think that the RFL should look at going down the "officiating crew" route. In the NFL, "officiating crews" are selected before the start of the season. They then work together for the rest of the season and only officiate games as part of the same crew. Only injuries would ever see a new member joining an offcicating crew mid-way thorugh the season.
Surely, the oppertunity for refs and touch judges to work together on a weekly basis could only be a good thing and ensure we get more consistency from the refs.'"
It's not a bad shout.
That touch judge was woeful throughout.

Referee's fault we got a point from a game we could/should have lost? OK
Still, Morley and Monaghan did try to tell him what decisions to give. Obviously didn't tell him properly though.

The linesman obviously saw something and Ganson should have taken 30 seconds to at least hear him out. So yes, it was bad refereeing IMO.'"
The reaction to you on here is simple, your a troll. You don't want reasoned debate, almost every post you make about Hull is some kind of sig wanting a reaction. You often then start talking about Rovers. We are not interested in your comments or Rovers, hence the reaction.

The linesman was flagging for a drop out. Both Ganson and the in-goal official had clearly seen Briscoe ground the ball so it could not have been a drop out. It was therefore unnecessary to consult with someone who was giving a decision that was not possible.
HTH.

As well as take 30 seconds to do it!
10 seconds would have been too much. "I think it's a drop out because..."
"Well I saw him ground the ball, so you're wrong. Try."
He'll be wanting to phone his Dad next.

Maybe this a cunning plan from the RFL to improve entertainment and have Chris Tarrant pop out for every decision so the officials can
a. Phone a friend
b. Take 50/50
or c. Ask the crowd

Don't say things like that. It makes you sound sore and bitter. I don't see what decision he made you could 100% state cost us the game.

| Not really sure why anyone ever attempts to complain about a SL referee.
They will never be brought to account (in public) anyway.
They don't need to defend themselves.
They are always right.
This happens season in and season out.....live with it.
BTW...there's no such thing as an independant referee whilst Steve "season pass holder at St Helens" Ganson referees a St Helens game.....Creditability = ZERO.

| He didnt over rule the Linesman if you watch on SL Fulltime, he just completely ignores him ! I thought at the time Tom had knocked on and i was sat 40-50 metres away. You know what you get with Ganson. He seems to play the game by one set of rules. His own. Shocking. A lot of the time Wires werent square at marker particularly first half. One guy sat near me was screaming about it so i made a point of watching for it and he was right. When does he give his first call for it ? Last 2 minutes when we are defending like mad dogs amid Wire throwing the ball around inside our 20 giving them yet another set. But i think the bad calls evened out , he wasnt unfair to one side. We had a try that should have been called back and Wires first try came on the back of a weak penalty and cheap yardage.Does annoy me though in any sport when refs , bad ones influence the result of games too much. Let the players decide it, dont try and be the big man.
