Yes he should, and I hope we see the best of him in the next 3 years. But the fact is for the past 2 or 3 seasons Kirk has been nothing more than average, which makes the offer of a 3 year contract very surprising and very risky.

GB international centre coming in to what should be his best years, sounds good but............

Average centre IMO, not nearly clever/creative enough to be a top centre. Would have liked to have seen him develop in to a second rower, far more strength then skill and a very strong defender.
