| Quote: frepneyboy "Dont you worry, there will be a long line of people to buy city.
They are "only" worth what their inome is. Providing they stay up this year, that means, £60mill next year from the EPL, if they get relegated next season then they are nailed on £60 mill parachute payments over 4 years (£120m income over 5 years.....)
Go down this year, they are still worth £60mill Para over next 4 years...'"
Wage bill and debts are heavy though, and they have barely any assets (training ground in Cott only)
a prospective buyer would wait till they went in administration, cleared the debts then put a bid in.
wouldn't be surprised to see a bid from Pearson & his consortium if they did go in to administration, they've tried and failed to get Leeds repeatedly, and it'd be a perfect opportunity to get control of City, FC, The SMC, and the council would sell him the stadium for the right money. Depends what funds his backers have of course, he can't do it alone.

| Lost track of this a bit. Looking at the City Independent site they seem to think the vote will be next week, midweek, with people having to go to the KC to cast their vote in person. Not sure how this will capture the "silent majority." They also point out that the closing date for voting will be past the deadline for final submissions to the FA in advance of the hearing, and therefore inadmissible as evidence/argumentation. With this level of buffoonery I suggest the Allams apply to run the RFL.

That would be good for the likes of us if it involved FC. 60+ miles to vote. Although if it was for something as ludicrous as this it might be worthwhile.
Sounds like one of Rules ballots.

| It's still all about the stadium, Trev, the agenda's never changed, just the methodology. This is just the Allams' version of the knight leaping one square forward and two to the side to provoke the motionless rook.

| I still haven't yet worked out the subtleties of the vote....
Quote: "
1. Yes to Hull Tigers with the Allam family continuing to lead the club.
2. No to Hull Tigers.
3. I am not too concerned and will continue to support the club either way.'"
Is it a way of improving the chances of getting 1. plus 3. greater than 2. ??

| If pearson took us to our most successful period ever I wouldn't care what he called the club. Storm in a teacup. Changing names had a massive negative impact on the likes of wigan RL, leeds RL and bradford northern

The state of the club at the time had zilch to do with the name change though and I don't remember any particular negativity from the fan base. The fact it is poorly perceived now looking back is more to do with lloyd than the club name

Very OT..
From HDM "Hull City Council has agreed to spend £10,000 to become an associate partner for this year's British Open squash championship, which will be held at the KC Stadium in May"
'"
Yes, on Tuesday the Mail printed a story suggesting there was a thaw in relations between the council and the Allams as the council were going to sponsor the squash tournament. For anyone still in doubt as to Assem Allam's feeling towards HCC, the Mail were forced to retract yeasterday
The Tigers nonsense is simply down to Allam's hatred of the council and a precursor to Hull City becoming "Allam's Tigers", imo. We may have trouble if there is a shift in power to the LibDems as, looking at the history of childishness and one-upmanship displayed by each political party towards each other, then you can be sure the LibDems will be on the side of the good doctor just because.
