Rovers first 20 is pretty strong, if they had a decent coach who could create a defensive structure and instill belief they'd be comfortably inside the top six. They'd still be massively dependant on Dobson, but Wigan aren't the same without Tomkins.

All this talk of whose "cup final" it is, is a bit ridiculous IMO. I'm sure that Rovers fans, players and anybody connected with the club like to beat Hull FC, and i'm equally convinced that the reverse of that is true for Hull FC's fans, players etc. but anybody who says it's more important than the season as a whole and final league placings, play offs etc. is deluded. I just think the "it's your cup final" argument from either set of supporters is a bit childish and is used as a pre game defence in case your team loses.

Well said. As an FC fan, of course I want to beat KR and this fixture hurts more than most when we lose but is the sweetest when we win (and I would think that a lot of fans on either side would say the same). That said, I would much rather FC have a good season with a cup run and playoff finish rather than looking back on any season thinking "Well at least we beat Rovers" or something like that.

if Hull are methodical in their game plan and defend like there lives depended on it like that have been in recent weeks then the chances will come, but failure to take those changes and if kr get a couple of scores in front then I could see Hull panicking on the big stage in front of the cameras and we could be left wondering how we got out started by our tin pot rivals again. I hate derbies always have always will. N it'll take a lot more then sitting two points above them in the table before I go into one with any confidence, and how some of the here can be so nieve in scary

You have the Premireship Final in 1991 and the Challenge Cup Final in 2005. That's 2 winning finals not one. Do keep up.
