He's no better than a assistant, he's way above his station who's taking this club back years . Fortunately , Fans like you are gradually seeing this .

| We've sacked two coaches in the last 4 years who were far more successful and capable than Agar. So why has Agar been rewarded with a new two year contract? We've gone from a side that finished 2nd and 4th under Peter Sharp in 2006 and 2007 to a side that has finished 11th and 12th under Agar in 2008 and 2009. Add to that the fact we play the dullest and most basic brand of rugby I have ever seen a Hull side play and it should be clear for everyone to see that Richard Agar is completely out of his depth. His assessment of the performance yesterday confirmed that. A poor kicking game and not taking our chances? If Quins had taken their chances we'd have conceded 50! We simply did not compete. It's nothing personal, I'm sure he's a nice guy, but the statistics (30-odd% win ratio) point to one simple conclusion.
At this point last season we had won 7 lost 6 in the league, been knocked out of the Challenge Cup, and had been subject to numerous abject performances by a group of players that tried hard but looked like they'd met for the first time 10 minutes before the match. This season we have recruited the likes of O'Meley and Fitzgibbon, who have been excellent, but the team performances remain the same. It's like Groundhog Day. The lack of action by the board to rectify this situation is nothing short of disgraceful and, for me at least, is undoing all of the excellent work they have done to put the club on a sound financial footing. If making a profit each and every year was the most important thing for me then I’d go and support B f****** P!
We all understand how important it is that club are run properly from a financial point of view and credit to the board for that but that should be to the benefit of the playing side. We should be competing at the top end of the table. St Helens, Wigan, and Warrington looked like they belong in a division above us this weekend.
It’s not too late to save our season. The board need to accept that they have made a serious error in awarding Agar a new contract, wish him all the best, and recruit a top class replacement as soon as possible. There are a few who, at least on paper, are available. Stephen Kearney, for example, has a connection with the club, has worked as an assistant to Craig Bellamy at the same Melbourne Storm club that produced Michael Maguire, and would be a firm favourite with the fans. He’d certainly be my choice.

Good post. 4 years on from a Grand final appearance . We should now have been cemented as one of the " Big 4" teams. Why is it Administration after administration fail to kick on from a promising start. Off the field, We are miles ahead of most teams in Super League but there will come a time where these teams catch us up and finally over take us .

| I was annoyed at the clubs decision to get rid of Peter Sharpe (i await the barrage of abuse)....i was gutted we then went on to appoint a clueless assistant in Agar....i was mortified to learn that we have extended his contract so early into this season.
Like someone has already stated both John Kear and Peter Sharpe went for far less than this idiot has turned out. I have no faith whatsoever in anything to do with the current set up.....we are so successful off the pitch yet so clueless on it...it hurts, really hurts!!!

I thought the time had come for Sharp to go, as he looked a down and 'beaten' man...but I had no idea we'd just promote his assistant, seemingly without even looking around for anyone else.
at least Sharp's teams defended well, and I'd even prefer the frequent 'no-shows' from Kear's side in the league if it meant some big performances in big games. Agar manages to get his team to give frequent no shows without the payback of any big performances or cup runs.

| One of the best young coaches in England said this of yesterdays performance....
It’s really hard when you’ve got players missing, but there are plenty of people banging on your door when they’re not selected when we are at full strength, so now is their chance, but we’ve got some guys that are not aiming up.”
To me that is yet another excuse or the same old excuse. Every team without exception in SL has had their fair share of injuries yet they seem to battle through adversity and play with heart and soul. We on the other hand get injuries and fall behind that as an excuse or at least the coach does. We all accepted that as an excuse last year as we were waiting for him to get his team. But its the end of the line now.
In any business people either work for the boss or they don't. If they respect the boss they will work their arris' off for that boss. Longy was quoted as saying he signed for Hull because of what Rich said. He came here to win things as he is a winner. I don't doubt the sentiment, but its now clear that Agar talks a good game when he needs to, but he is incapable of uniting a team to deliver what we all want to see. That being a team that fight and battle for each other. Have immense pride in the shirt and club we all love and want to succeed both for themselves personally and for the team and fans as a whole.
Wire when they scored were celebrating as if they had won the cup. I don't see that from Hull's players. I have seen it in the past but not now. That says to me that the desire and passion is not there and they just go through the motions to pick up the pay cheque.

| i'm saying he and the players are not doing the job they are supposed to..it is afterall a team/club thing and it cannot just be pinpointed on one man..like yesterdays debacle and others before it have been mostly the players inability to play as they should...IMO..Once on the pitch its down to the players to put the effort in and yesterday they didnt..agar didnt give the ball away god knows how many times, agar didnt miss over 20 tackles did he?...it seems to be a lack of team effort not just a crap coach.
right lets get this straight, you obviously havnt played the game, yes the coach doesnt tell you to knock onn or miss tackles, but no matter who we play the tactics remain the same, the players are playing to agars tactics which are 5 drives and a kick unless we are in the opposition 20, the problem is if you persist on playing basic tactics like that you spend 70% on the back foot which means you dont see the opposition 20 let alone play ruggers in it, is there any ideas in the game play, does agar show enthusiasm to change things when their going wrong, does he show balls in the changing rooms at half time, does he know the best positions for HIS players, answer to all of those is a NO.
AGAR OUT FOR ME.
