Yes, double header at Elland Road.

We’d turn it in to a Home game if it’s at Elland Road, just like we did in 1982!!! We had several great games at Elland Road during the 80’s.
Finally, a good decision by the RFL. A stadium with enough capacity for all fans, held at a central location and on a Saturday afternoon.
Would love it if it was Hull v Rovers and Sts v Wigan.
Hull would bring 10,000+ fans; Rovers 5,000+; Saints 3,000; and Wigan would bring 500.

In theory Mrs B, but last year we traveled one hundred miles, or more to the semi, “there’s a song in there” whilst the saints had to get over around twelve miles.

Forty years ago.
Wow, that makes us sound old, even if we don't feel it.
It was some night.

It was indeed, I went with my dad and his pal, I was late for school the next morning and the form teacher at Boulevard, Jack Harrison, was a Rovers fan and gave me a weeks worth of detention, still never dampened my joy at what I was lucky enough to witness. My older brother went on coach and didn't get into the match until just before half time, the traffic was that chaotic.

Me too, but I'd be too nervous to enjoy it- I always hate derby day, makes me that nervous! It is true I never enjoy them until we are in a winning position, which we usually are of late, anyway.

In my forties then and after seeing the drawn match at Wembley was unable to make the replay as I was in the US on a company business trip from Aus. Before leaving Aus in order to make the Wembley game I reorganised the business trip and reversed the original itinerary by starting the trip in England and finishing in the US. Rang my wife to get the result and watched a recording of the match when I returned home.
Trivia alert! '40 Years On' was my high school song which was bashed out at the end of every school year. Originally written for Harrow school in the late 19th century and used as a school song by many other schools.

| Think Cas will beat Rovers, Radford can get his teams up for the cup.
See Wakey offering cheap tickets £15, hope Hudds and Hull do something similar, get a few people in.

Wow Freddie, you went to Harrow school, I went to West Dock but the junior and senior entrances were on Harrow Street

I'm quite a bit younger than you Freddie, but as a kid I went to Beverley Grammar School, who had 'Forty Years On' as the school song. Instead of correctly singing the first line as "Forty years on when afar and asunder", it was always sung as "Forty years on with a f*rt like thunder"! Such school boy naughtiness :
