| No doubt we asked Matty Head about him as well.
Good luck to him now he’s a black and white. Looking forward to seeing how he goes for us.

| One year deal is great - if he goes well add another year if it doesn't work out we part company. Gives him that motivation to impress.

| Right type of hooker and good to see we are addressing real weaknesses in the team, reminds to be seen if he is good enough for SL but we seem to do better from unknown NRL players rather than established ones.

| I think if he's performing well at international level, he l be fine in super league, was also due a promotion to the Rabbitohs top 30 squad. So obviously been performing in the reserve grade too. I've a feeling this one's going to be a good signing.
Highlights always look good, but seems he's not scared to take the line on and has explosive pace and good strength, big question is what's he like organising and pass selection.
Time will tell. But I like this signing, and the way the club are offering short deals to breed incentive, too many long deals been handed out in the past, and coincided with players form dipping off.
I think we l announce 2 forwards and thatl be us, Ebon Spurr with Matongo going tuther way.
And if the Fonua rumours are true and I'm 90% sure they are an NRL prop Evans or Ah Mau
Welcome to FC Joe,

| A 9 with a running game!
I mentioned in another thread if you wanted to see more of him the Oceania 2019 cup games are on YouTube.
As soon as we get a quick play the ball or the markers aren't set he'll be off. He's very much an 'eyes up' player.
Guess this puts a pin in the Peats deal? Hodgson mentions him playing primarily at 9.
Depends who we manage to shift on, but I still think we could see another 4 or 5 through the door

Looks good to me.
I'll try not to de rail the thread too much but.....
I'd like some decent half cover too. McNamara needs time to develop. I've mentioned Hampshire who is still available, and MC is in the press saying Wakey might have to run with a smaller squad due to budget cuts.
I don't think we get value for money from Ma'u either who would be one of our bigger earners, and what Fonua is allegedly on we could get 2 players on his wage.
Mcintosh - Faraimo
Lovodua - JJ
Scurr - Matongo
Amone/Britt/ Ah Mau? & Wardle - Fonua
Hampshire - Bowden
Peats - Ma'u

Think the likes of Ma’u, Sao and Savelio have all signed so will be staying for at least next season. We definitely need to be targeting some better British forwards over the next 12 months, relying heavily on overseas atm.
Hampshire would be a decent stop gap if Shaul was to go. A lot better cover at halfback without moving Connor, whilst we see if Hookem, McNamara and Walker make it.
